Mechanical braking device for a horological mobile component
A braking device (100), separate and remote from its guide members, having resilient strips (3; 31; 32) borne by a braking mobile component (10) trapped between a structure (1) and a bolt (6) and movable perpendicularly to the axis of a horological mobile component arbor (30), on which the strips bear, and either all of the bearing forces on the arbor (30) of the strips (3) are exerted within a single angular sector having a centre angle (a) of less than 180°, or, opposite a first straight or convex strip (31) tangentially braking this arbor (30), a second strip (32) allows for relative mobility between the braking mobile component (10) and this arbor (30) in a direction of mobility (DM), the latter being: either parallel to the first resilient strip (31), or wavy and deformable perpendicularly to the direction of mobility (DM).

System for adjusting the position of a first toothed wheel set relative to a support on which the first toothed wheel set is pivotably mounted and timepiece comprising such a system
A system for adjusting the angular position of a first toothed wheel set relative to a support on which the first toothed wheel set is mounted such that it can pivot. The adjusting system includes an adjusting member allowing an action to be applied to an angular position of the first toothed wheel set so as to adjust the angular position of the first toothed wheel set relative to the support. A timepiece can include such an adjusting system.
Optical isolator and Faraday rotator
A Faraday rotator and an optical isolator having a high transmittance and a high Verdet constant are provided. The optical isolator includes at least a Faraday rotator that rotates a polarization plane of incident light in a non-reciprocal manner, a polarizer disposed on a light incident side of the Faraday rotator, and an analyzer disposed on a light exit side of the Faraday rotator. The Faraday rotator is made of an oxide containing ytterbium oxide (Yb.sub.2O.sub.3), and is manufactured by a ceramic manufacturing process, wherein the oxide is allowed to contain an oxide of a metal other than ytterbium, and the proportion of ytterbium in all metal atoms in the oxide is 80% or more.
Horological display mechanism
A horological display mechanism including a cam arranged to be driven by a time base, at least a first drive device of a first display of a first quantity, the drive device including a drive rack pivoting about an axis A and being arranged to cooperate, directly or indirectly, with a drive wheel of the first display, the drive rack including a first rigid part having a toothed sector and second elastically deformable part, the first rigid part and second elastically deformable part being separated by a slot receiving an eccentric arranged to cooperate with the elastically deformable part and separate the latter from the first rigid part.
BRAKE SPRING FOR SUPPORTING ARBOR OF A DISPLAY, HOROLOGICAL MOVEMENT COMPRISING SAID BRAKE SPRING AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING SAID BRAKE SPRING
A brake spring intended to apply a radial force against a supporting arbor of a display of a watch, including an elastic strip, an elastic casing organ adapted to be fastened to an attachment organ of a structure of a horological movement, and a retaining element of the elastic strip configured to cooperate with the elastic strip, so as to hold it in a first position, the elastic strip being capable of being released from the retaining element so as to occupy a second position under the effect of an elastic return force, wherein it is capable of applying a resulting radial force against the arbor.
SYSTEM FOR ADJUSTING THE POSITION OF A FIRST TOOTHED WHEEL SET RELATIVE TO A SUPPORT ON WHICH THE FIRST TOOTHED WHEEL SET IS PIVOTABLY MOUNTED AND TIMEPIECE COMPRISING SUCH A SYSTEM
A system adjusts the angular position of a first toothed wheel set relative to a support on which the first toothed wheel set is mounted such that it can pivot. The adjusting system includes an adjusting member allowing an action to be applied to an angular position of the first toothed wheel set to adjust the angular position of the first toothed wheel set relative to the support. The invention adjusting system can be incorporated into a timepiece.
Timepiece
Provided is a timepiece that improves the ease of unwinding a spring. The timepiece has a bridge disposed between the rotor and the main plate when seen in a side view; a pawl lever that is disposed between the rotor and bridge in side view, moves bidirectionally in a direction toward and a direction away from the transmission wheel in conjunction with the rotor, and causes the transmission wheel to turn in one direction; a release mechanism that is disposed to the bridge, and can change between an engaged state in which the pawl lever and the transmission wheel are engaged, and a released state in which the pawl lever and the transmission wheel are not engaged; and a train bridge disposed in side view between the pawl lever and the rotor, and having a first hole disposed to a position superimposed with the release mechanism when seen in a plan view.
SELECTION AND ACTUATION DEVICE FOR A PLURALITY OF FUNCTIONS OF A WATCH MOVEMENT
A selection and actuation device for at least a first and second function of a watch movement includes a translationally and rotationally movable control stem respectively selecting and actuating at least one of the functions. The control stem occupies at least first, second and third distinct, successive axial positions. An actuating lever bears first and second wheels and pinions. The actuating lever occupies a neutral position when the control stem is in one of its first and third positions, and pivots, on either side of the neutral position, between a first driving position actuating the first function responsive to control stem rotation in a first direction, and a second driving position actuating the second function responsive to a control stem rotation in a second direction.
