SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING RFID TECHNOLOGY TO IDENTIFY PRODUCTS
20230274109 · 2023-08-31 ·

In some embodiments, an RFID system for product identification may include a compartment having a first wall and a second wall that extend toward each other and that together define at least part of a cavity and a channel. The cavity may extend laterally along a first direction and may be configured to contain a suspended package and having a first width may extend along a second direction. The channel may extend laterally along the first direction and having a second width may extend along a second direction, the channel being in fluid communication with the cavity, the channel may be configured to limit movement along the second direction of a support that extends downward through the channel and into the cavity to support the suspended package, the second width of the channel being narrower than the first width of the cavity.

Sharing images based on face matching in a network
11283937 · 2022-03-22 · ·

The present disclosure describes a first device to send a second device a face template of the user of the first device. When the second device captures an image, the second device may compare the face template to a second face template derived from the captured image. If a match is determined to exist, the second device may send the captured image to the first device. The face template may be transferred over a first communication interface, while the captured image may be sent over a second communication interface. The first communication interface may be Bluetooth and the second communication interface may be WIFI Direct. As such, the system may function in environments without cellular coverage and/or infrastructure WIFI networks. Additionally, the user of the first device does not need to be identified, only matched to the second face template.

Card reader

In a card reader (1), if a shutter member (10), being located at a block position for blocking a card transfer path (3), rotates toward a deep side of the card reader, the shutter member moves to an open position. In a part within a surface of a side of the card transfer path in a thickness direction of the card (2), at a side deeper than the shutter member, there are formed only an open part (31) and an open part (32); the open part being for preventing an interference of the shutter member, rotating toward the open position, with the main body frame (4), as well as ejecting a foreign object out of the card transfer path; the open part being for preventing an interference of a movable component (21), placed so as to face the card transfer path, with the main body frame.

Configurable credit card device

A credit card reader that is configurable for use is provided that includes a first assembly and a second assembly. The first assembly has a mag stripe card reader. The second assembly has a Europay Mastercard Visa (EMV) reader. The second assembly is coupled to the first assembly, where the first assembly rotates about an axis perpendicular to a plane in which the assemblies are disposed to one of a plurality of angular positions, the plurality of angular positions indicating an offset angle of the first assembly relative to the second assembly.

Elevator with debowing mechanism

Techniques are described herein for reducing bowing effects on a substrate while the substrate is being transported, for example in an elevator mechanism, from a first travel path to a second travel path, where the first travel path is offset from the second travel path so that the first travel path is not collinear with the second travel path. The substrate can be any substrate that is bowed and for which one wishes to eliminate or reduce the bow. One specific substrate that can benefit from the techniques described herein are personalized documents such as plastic cards including but not limited to financial (e.g. credit and debit) cards, drivers' licenses, national identification cards, gift cards, loyalty cards, employee badges, and other plastic cards which bear personalized data unique to the card holder and/or which bear other card or document information.

A card reader may include card insertion port; a plurality of types of pulling-out detection mechanisms; and a pulling-out prevention mechanism. The pulling-out prevention mechanism may include a lock member having a prevention part configured to contact with the card and prevent pulling-out of the card; and a moving mechanism structured to move the lock member between a contact position and a retreated position. The plurality of types of the pulling-out detection mechanisms may the abnormal pulling-out of the card by methods different from each other. The lock member is moved to the contact position from the retreated position to prevent pulling-out of the card when the abnormal pulling-out of the card from the card insertion port is detected by the plurality of types of the pulling-out detection mechanisms.
