SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCING LEARNING VIA TRANSCUTANEOUS AURICULAR VAGUS NERVE STIMULATION
20230048804 · 2023-02-16 · ·

Systems and methods for increasing learning via transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation is presented. The disclosure can include positioning a device within a human ear and delivering specifically timed and modulated pulses of electrical energy to the auricular vagus nerve transcutaneously, avoiding invasive procedures commonly associated with vagus nerve stimulation. The present disclosure can enhance reading comprehension, facilitate the learning letter-sound relationships, and provide for increased retention of new languages for a patient, all without surgically implanting a device into a patient.

DYNAMIC THREE DIMENSIONAL TEACHING AID
20230005379 · 2023-01-05 ·

The present invention relates to a dynamic three-dimensional teaching aid that allows for alphabet teaching or storytelling for infants or children in diversified manners by dynamic movement of a teaching member with teaching content when the teaching member is moved, thereby stimulating indefinite curiosity and imagination of infants and children, meeting their learning ability, arousing interest not to be bored and to appear novel despite repeated use, and letting them actively participate in and focus on learning and that has a simplified structure, is easy to manipulate, and is accurately controllable for its movement. More specifically, the dynamic three-dimensional teaching aid is configured so that a first magnet 23 is moved under a teaching board 1 by a control rod 2, and a moving block 3 coupled with a teaching member 4 is placed, which includes an attractive force element to be attracted by the first magnet 23 and a second magnet 32, on a side of the attractive force element, to exert a repulsive force to the first magnet 23 to be rotated depending on changes in the moving direction.

FREE-FORM TEXT PROCESSING FOR SPEECH AND LANGUAGE EDUCATION

Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for providing reading performance feedback to a user from a voice recording of the user reading an arbitrary text. A target text comprising a text passage that a user intends to read and a user recording comprising an audio recording of the user reading the target text aloud are received from a user device. The user recording is converted to a user speech hypothesis comprising text corresponding to speech recognized in the audio recording. The user speech hypothesis is then compared to the target text to generate reading performance feedback comprising relevant differences between the speech in the user recording and the target text and the reading performance feedback is displayed to the user on the user device.

Systems and methods for instrumentation of education processes

Systems and methods for education instrumentation can include one or more servers configured generate a plurality of models for modeling various aspects of an education process using training data related to academic performance of students. The one or more servers can collect data from client devices associated with various education institutions or stakeholders throughout a life cycle of the education process. The one or more servers can use the generated models and the collected data to assess the addressing of education standards and predict or estimate performance metrics associated with the education process. The one or more servers can provide computed metrics or assessments of how well education standards are addressed to one or more client devices for display.

Reading teaching aid

A method for using a reading teaching aid assembly includes aligning a vowel of a vowel card with a starting cell of a starting block, the starting cell defining a starting consonant; pronouncing the starting consonant and the vowel together; sliding the vowel card along a vowel track, the starting block and an ending block extending along the vowel track; aligning the vowel with an ending cell of the ending block, the ending cell defining an ending consonant; and pronouncing the ending consonant.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC SCORING READING FLUENCY
20220406214 · 2022-12-22 ·

A method and system for automatic scoring of reading fluency. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides a method and system for automatic scoring of reading fluency by recording a user's voice reading the passage in a reading fluency question and calculating a reading fluency score indicating how quickly and accurately the user reads texts.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EVALUATING AND IMPROVING READING SKILLS IN REAL TIME
20220398938 · 2022-12-15 · ·

Systems and methods for evaluating and improving reading skills in real time are disclosed. The method may include receiving a user selection of an electronic book in an application executing on a user device associated with a first user, opening the user selection of the electronic book in the application, initiating a video call or an audio call with a second user in the application, receiving from the first user one or more first spoken words associated with a first reading content of the electronic book, transcribing the one or more first spoken words to first text via the application, determining if the first text matches the first reading content of the electronic book, and transmitting the determination of whether the first text matches the first reading content of the electronic book to the first user and the second user.
