The method further comprises electronically selecting test questions for the student based on the teacher preferences applicable to the student. Still further, the method involves electronically submitting answers to the test questions. In addition, the method comprises electronically scoring the answers to the test questions based on the teacher preferences, including electronically sending student test results to the teacher, including a summary of questions requiring manual review for each student.

A learning user pays significantly less than an institute user to access information, so as to encourage the learning user to work on learning materials. The interactive graphical representation includes one or more features with which a user interacts to respond to the assessment item. The computer-executable instructions are executed based on the data of the document to generate the interactive graphical representation. Data generated based on user manipulation of the one or more features is received. The data generated from the user manipulation is processed to generate a modified graphical representation responsive to the assessment item.

A method for assessing a user's progress in learning a plurality of skills is disclosed. The method may include assigning a weighing factor to each of the plurality of skills. For each skill, the method may include providing a plurality of problems to the user, receiving answers to the plurality of problems from the user, and determining an accuracy rate associated with that skill based on the answers. The method may also include determining a probability of obtaining a score equal to or above a predetermined score by the user based on the weighting factors assigned to the plurality of skills and the accuracy rates associated with the plurality of skills.
