Self-contained enhanced string instrument
An acoustic musical instrument a hollow body, neck, speaker, and digital audio device. A control circuit is coupled to the speaker and the digital audio device. The speaker is externally positioned on the hollow body. The digital audio player is externally positioned on the hollow body. The control circuit is communicatively coupled to a MIDI component, an electronic tuner, amplifier board, and an effects board. A plurality of light emitting diodes are positioned on the neck and coupled to the control circuit. The control circuit is configured to synchronicitously energize the LEDs with an audio file that is executed by the digital audio device. The control circuit is configured to synchronicitously energize the LEDs according to instructions received external to the acoustic musical instrument. The speaker is communicatively coupled to the amplifier board. The digital audio device captures sounds that are generated by the acoustic musical instrument.
FOLDABLE STRINGED INSTRUMENT
A foldable stringed instrument having a neck and/or body that may assume a reduced profile by folding an upper neck portion away from the playing position through the use of a translating bridge assembly and a translating truss assembly, wherein the foldable stringed instrument is capable of housing or otherwise being coupled to any of a variety of electronics or electrical components (e.g. a smart phone or tablet computer) having one or more applications (apps) for driving the operation, functionality and/or effects associated with the foldable stringed instrument.
Apparatus and method for stringed musical instrument tailpiece
A stringed instrument tailpiece includes an elongate body that is top/bottom and left/right symmetrical. Openings are formed at a bridge-end of the elongate body to engage a musical instrument's one or more strings. An opening at the gut-end of the elongate body is configured to engage a gut, which attaches to an instrument endpin.

Electric Guitar Strings of Magnetic Copper Alloys
Guitar strings made of a magnetic copper-nickel-tin-manganese alloy are disclosed. Also disclosed are processing steps that can be performed to fabricate the guitar strings from the alloy. Further described herein are alternative uses for the strings on other electric stringed instruments.
Frog for bow for stringed musical instrument
A frog, and a bow with a frog, for stringed musical instruments is disclosed. The frog is made with a body from stabilized wood. The speed of sound through the frog body is enhanced resulting in more beautiful music.
ELECTROACOUSTIC BOUZOUKI WITH PERFORATED VESSEL
Electroacoustic bouzouki with perforated vessel, for exercise as well as for concerts having a neck (1) which reaches until tailpiece (2), head (3), tuning keys for fastening strings (4), electromagnet (5) and bridge (6) on the front part (7) over which the strings pass (4), preamplifier (9) and amplifier (10) in its body, output (12), electric signal and battery (16), bearing, a rear part called vessel (13). The vessel carries on its surface at least one user-defined opening of any shape and is mounted on the front part (7) of the body by gluing or screwing. The best use of the electroacoustic bouzouki with perforated vessel takes place when the number of openings ranges from 2 to 6.
Fingerboard protector for stringed musical instruments
Disclosed is a fingerboard protector for stringed musical instruments which demonstrates a novel solution to the problem of fingerboard wear caused by the players fingers making contact with the fingerboard. This physical contact in addition to the natural acidity of the players fingers can wear down the fingerboard creating indentations as well as contaminating the fingerboard with tarnish and grime. In the case of a fretless instrument, the strings are pushed directly into the fingerboard causing wear to occur at a much faster rate. My present invention sets out to solve this problem by creating a fingerboard protector safeguarding it from undesirable wear during normal playing of the instrument. The ease of installation and removal will appeal to musicians who want to protect their instrument as well as give it a new and unique look.
