A drumstick having an attachment to strap it to the thumb of the drummer. The attachment also goes through a hole in the drumstick to allow the stick to freely rotate in its proper plane of motion, allowing the drummer the chance to practice drumming without overly squeezing the drumstick as well as playing the drums with no risk of dropping the drumsticks.

Dual Action Pedal Device
20170358282 · 2017-12-14 ·

A dual action pedal device utilizing the forward section of a musical bass drum pedal foot board to strike a musical bass drum and an attached heel controlled piston to open/close musical hi-hat cymbals. By pressing in a downward motion the heel of a human foot closes musical hi-hat cymbals under spring pressure. Upon raising a human foots heel from the aforementioned piston the hi-hat cymbals open under spring pressure thus making this device a dual action pedal.

Flame-Treated Drumstick
20170358281 · 2017-12-14 ·

A wooden drumstick that is treated by direct heating by exposure to a flame to improve hardness characteristics by altering the state of fibers in an outer layer of the drum stick relative to inner fibers below the outer layer. A method of manufacturing a treated drumstick includes selecting a wooden starting material, forming a drumstick profile from the wooden starting material, and exposing the drumstick profile directly to a flame.

Flexible shaker percussion instrument

A table stringed musical instrument includes string fastening members in an instrument structure. The string fastening members receive and fasten strings to the instrument structure. The instrument is a free stringed musical instrument configured for one or more, advantageously at least two or four or more players so that the string fastening members are grouped for at least two, advantageously at least four or more physically separate groups and additionally so that the strings to be received and fastened are thereby grouped for at least two or four or more separate groups and thereby for at least two or four or more different player positions. The first group of the string fastening members receives the first group of strings. The second group of the string fastening members receives the second group of strings, etc. The strings of the first group differ from those of the second group.

FOOT PEDAL APPARATUS FOR DRUM
20170278491 · 2017-09-28 ·

A drum foot pedal apparatus includes: a coil spring imparting resilient self-returning force to a foot board; a rod member (or an adjusting bolt) supported by a support section provided on a support post member; and a tension adjustment mechanism provided between the coil spring and the rod member. The tension adjustment mechanism includes a connection position adjustment section that interconnects the lower end of the coil spring and the rod member above the support post member, and that is constructed to permit adjustment of a connection position between the lower end of the coil spring and the rod member or the adjusting bolt at a position above the support section. Thus, it is possible to effectively prevent frictional wear of component parts and generation of noise and achieve an enhanced operability in the tension adjustment, with a simple construction having a minimized number of component parts.
