Method for diagnosing an operating state of a contactor and contactor for implementing said method

A method for diagnosing an operating state, i.e., wear, of a contactor which includes a processing unit directing voltage control means; an, actuating coil; means for measuring an electric characteristic of the actuating coil; and a diode in parallel with the coil and the measuring means; the method including creating, for a specific contactor design, a plurality of variation curves of an electric characteristic of the coils of such contactors, over a drop-out period, by testing said contactors by sending a drop-out order fixing a drop-out voltage across the coil; after the drop-out order, repeatedly measuring the electric characteristic of the coil during a drop-out period; later sending a diagnostic drop-out order fixing the same drop-out voltage across the terminals of an actuating coil of a subject contactor being diagnosed; then measuring the same electric characteristic of the subject coil during a drop-out period; identifying a measured value of that characteristic of the subject coil, then comparing that measured value with the variation curves of the plurality of contactors of the same design, thereby diagnosing a state of wear of the subject contactor.

Universal control module for a reversing contactor

A control module for a reversing contactor includes a housing configured to mount to forward and reverse contactors. The control module is configured to receive command signals for the forward and reverse contactors and provide the command signals to an interlock circuit included within the housing of the control module. The interlock circuit is configured to use the forward and reverse commands as well as feedback signals corresponding to the current status of the contactors to prevent both the forward and reverse contactors from being closed in tandem. The control module is also configured to mount to contactors having different physical sizes. The housing may be configured as a telescoping housing, where one portion of the housing is fixed and a second portion of the housing slides with respect to the fixed portion of the housing to adjust the width of the control module.

Compositions comprising at least one polymer and at least one salt, and electroluminescent devices containing said compositions

The present invention relates to compositions comprising at least one polymer containing repeat triarylamine units and comprising at least one salt, to processes for production thereof and to the use thereof in electronic devices, especially in organic electroluminescent devices, called OLEDs (OLED=organic light-emitting diodes). The present invention also further relates to organic electroluminescent devices comprising these compositions.

Electric switch

The invention relates to an electric switch, in particular a rocker switch, comprising a contact system and comprising a movable actuating element for switching over the contact system between two switch positions, in particular an on position and an off position. The switch has a drivable actuator, which is operatively connected to the actuating element in such a way that the actuating element in at least one of the two switch positions is moved, on driving of the actuator, into the other switch position by the actuator for switching the contact system. In particular, the actuating element is moved by the actuator from the on position to the off position of the contact system.
