Low profile blow-on force automatic switch

Systems of automatic transfer switches (ATS) are disclosed herein. One apparatus includes at least two automatic transfer switches coupled together. Each automatic transfer switches has contacts to couple a power source to a load. For each switch, an electromagnetic force biasing the contacts to each other is present if an electrical current flows through the switch. The automatic transfer switches may be on separate cassettes or on a single cassette. The power source of each switch may be the same or different.

Electrical relay device

The electrical relay device comprising a component of electrical relay type including a controllable motor, and a switching module including at least one fixed electrical contact, and at least one movable electrical contact that is mechanically coupled to the motor and configured to be placed, using the motor, in at least one position, referred to as the disconnected position, in which it does not make contact with a fixed electrical contact, or in at least one position, referred to as the connected position, in which it does make contact with the at least one fixed electrical contact.

In an input device in which an electromagnetic force generated by applying current to a coil acts on an operation knob as a reaction force of an operation force, a repulsion magnet is disposed at one of a coil side yoke, a first yoke, or a second yoke to generate a repulsive force to a first magnet or a second magnet so as to offset the resultant of a first attraction force of the first magnet to the coil side yoke or the first yoke and a second attraction force of the second magnet to the coil side yoke or the second yoke.

Magnetically operated electro-mechanical latching switch

A latching electromechanical RF switch is formed with an RF switch cavity having at least one inlet port and at least one outlet ports having switch contacts. A leaf contact member moveable between a first contact position connecting the switch contacts and a second position spaced from the switch contacts. A solenoid mounted in the cavity. A housing is formed with a hollow passage. An intermediate permanent magnet provided within the housing. A connecting member assembly is moveable within the hollow passage. The contact leaf member is connected to one end with a permanent magnet provided at another end of the connecting member. The intermediate magnet attracts and retains the permanent magnet and the contact leaf member in the first contact position. Upon reaching the first contact position electric current supply to the solenoid is terminated.

A switching device for opening and closing an electrical line, including: two fixed contact terminals separated from one another, an operating member, comprising a contact piece, at least one flexible strip comprising at least one end part attached to a fixed support, the flexible strip or strips being adapted to exert a return force on the contact piece to return it from its closed position to its open position in the absence of a motive force on the operating member, the operating member comprising two electrically insulating pusher arms, spaced apart from one another and each attached to an end part of the contact piece; each flexible strip comprising two other end parts, each attached to one of the two push arms or to a part of the operating member that is itself attached to, or forms an integral part of, one of the pusher arms.

High speed limiting electrical switchgear device

An electrical switchgear for fast limitation and interruption of fault currents includes a fixed electrode, a movable electrode having a contact portion and a repelling portion, a plurality of contact fingers, and a coil. The coil is arranged adjacent to the repelling portion to induce eddy currents therein, the coil and the fixed electrode being arranged on the same side of the movable electrode, and the repelling portion being movable relative to the coil. The coil has a first dimension between two of its opposite lateral ends and defines an area which corresponds to a majority of a surface area of the repelling portion. The repelling portion provides a continuous current path, having a dimension corresponding to the first dimension, for eddy currents induced by the coil, whereby the movable electrode is pivotally thrown in a direction away from the coil and the fixed electrode, thus providing a circuit trip.
