An electrical connector provided with a varistor, and to a protection device for incorporation into an electrical connector and having a varistor comprising at least two pins including a first pin which is a live (502) or neutral (504) pin and a second pin which is an earth pin (506), the first and second pins (502, 504, 506) extending through respective apertures (512) in a varistor plate (514) which has first and second faces, wherein a first conductive layer on the first face of the varistor plate (514) connects electrically to the first pin (502, 504) and a second conductive region on the second face of the varistor plate connects electrically to the second pin (506), so that in response to an excessive voltage across the first (502, 504) and second (506) pins the varistor plate will conduct electricity between the first (502, 504) and second (506) pins. The arrangement can easily be adopted in connectors conforming to existing standards, such as existing mains electrical plugs (500).

A breakaway coaxial cable connector includes a conductive body configured to engage a cable. The conductive body is configured to be selectively coupled to an interface port to maintain electrical connectivity between the cable and the interface during operation of the connector when a first tension force below a predetermined threshold level is applied between the cable and the interface port, and the conductive body is configured to be selectively de-coupled from the interface port so as to interrupt electrical connectivity between the cable and the interface port during operation of the connector when a second tension force above the predetermined threshold level is applied between the cable and the interface port.

A welding power cable includes at least one welding power source, a welding torch, and a workpiece. The welding power cable is provided with an outer casing for protecting and insulating an electrically conductive cable, wherein the electrically conductive cable is situated within the casing. The end face of the welding power cable is provided with an electrically conductive contacting means for establishing an electrically conductive contact with the welding power source in particular, and a connection means for establishing a detachable mechanical connection, in particular between the welding power source and the welding power cable. This provides an option for connecting and disconnecting such a welding power cable to/from a welding power source in a quick and reliable manner while keeping the torsional stress on the welding power cable in the area of the connection to the welding power source.

An electrical junction box includes a frame body, a rescue terminal portion formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape in a plan view and including a longitudinal side face, two lateral side faces connected to the longitudinal side face, and an upper face, a resin cover configured to cover the longitudinal side face, the two lateral side faces and the upper face. The resin cover includes a rotary shaft extending along the longitudinal side face and provided on a side where the longitudinal side face is provided and on a base end portion of the rescue terminal portion opposite to the upper face, the resin cover being configured to rotate with respect to the frame body about the rotary shaft.

A coaxial connector comprising a body, which comprises an opening and a front portion for engaging with a corresponding connector, and a centre contact received within the opening of the body and supported by an insulator, wherein the insulator comprises an inner part comprising an opening defining an inner surface of the inner part that contacts an outer surface of the centre contact, and an outer part comprising an opening defining an inner surface of the outer part that contacts an outer surface of the inner part.

A connector assembly for an electrical connection, the connector assembly includes a plug and a socket. The plug includes a connector and a frame. The connector has a solid core conductor, the solid core conductor has an end portion. The frame surrounds the solid core conductor except for the end portion. The end portion is deformed to overlap the frame. The socket includes a socket conductor and a receiving portion into which the plug engages. The end portion directly contacts the socket conductor to form an electrical contact and causes the frame to deflect and provide a bias to force the end portion and the socket conductor into direct contact with one another.

A conductive module includes that a bus bar; a wiring component that electrically connects the bus bar to a battery monitoring unit; an electrical connection component that solders a first electrode to a first electrical connection portion on a bus bar side and solders a second electrode to a second electrical connection portion of a wiring terminal of the wiring component; and an insulating member that encloses the electrical connection component, the first electrical connection portion, and the second electrical connection portion are included.

A contact pin for an electrical plug includes a contact element formed of an electrically conductive material and a contact protection formed of an electrically non-conductive material and at least partially enclosing the contact element. A cooling channel system conducting a cooling fluid is formed in the contact protection. The cooling channel system has a cooling fluid supply and a cooling fluid return connected to the cooling fluid supply in a fluid conducting manner. The fluid cooling channel extends to a distal end of the contact element that faces a mating plug matable with the electrical plug.

A communication system is included in a work string. The communication system includes a communication cable and a crimp sleeve. The communication cable has a housing with a communication line and a metal tube therein, a free line end of the communication line and a free tube end of the metal tube extending from an open end of the housing. The crimp sleeve includes a first sleeve section having a first inner diameter configured to receive the open end of the housing, a second sleeve section having a second inner diameter configured to receive the free tube end of the metal tube, and an opening configured to allow the free line end of the communication line to pass out of the crimp sleeve.

A socket, connectable to a plug-in device, wherein the plug-in device is a bushing and/or a plug-in cable termination, is described. The socket includes a current conduction path and a field control unit. The field control unit includes a layer arrangement with at least three conductive layers arranged around the current conduction path and separated by an insulating material.
