ELECTRICAL OUTLET FOR POWER AND/OR DATA
An electrical outlet (10) for power and/or data is disclosed. The outlet 10 has a housing (11) which houses a plurality of moulded sub-components (18, 19) each of which is mounted within the housing (11) to have one or more sockets (8, 9) accessible by corresponding pin(s) of a plug used by a user. Not all of the sub-components (18, 19) are fabricated from the same mould. The sockets of the housed sub-components are covered by a cosmetic plate (17) having an array of openings corresponding to the sockets and sized to permit the pin(s) to pass through the openings and electrically engage the sockets. A method of fabricating such an electrical outlet is also disclosed. Preferably the outlet is authorised for sale and use without the cosmetic plate.
IMPROVED ELECTRICAL CONNECTION DEVICE
An electrical connection device is enabled to be linked materially and electrically to an external support that has an electric potential difference, and at the same time enabled to be linked materially and electrically to an external electrically operated device, and therefore for transmitting electric potential between the external support and the external device, which includes a base that incorporates a spring and a shaft enabled for receiving and transmitting the electric potential difference from the external support and is arranged and enabled on the same base in order to make electrical contact with the support of a compressive force on the spring.
Modular, Recessed Lighting System
A modular lighting system adapted to be installed in and illuminate an environment. The lighting system includes a first light fixture including a first canopy assembly adapted to engage a desired surface in the environment, a first light-emitting diode (LED) module, and a second LED module. The first LED module has a first connector assembly configured to mechanically and electrically connect the first LED module to the first light fixture via the first canopy assembly, the second connector assembly is configured to mechanically and electrically connect the second LED module to the first LED module, and the first LED module is interchangeable with a third LED module including a third connector assembly configured to mechanically and electrically connect the third LED module to both the second LED module and the first light fixture via the first canopy assembly.
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY AND BASE STATION ANTENNA
The present disclosure relates to a printed circuit board assembly, which includes: a first printed circuit board, printed with a first transmission trace; a second printed circuit board, printed with a second transmission trace; a substrate, in which, the provides a through aperture for a radio frequency connector; and a radio frequency connector, which includes an inner contact portion, an housing and an insulating part provided between the inner contact portion and housing, where the radio frequency connector is configured to be received in and pass through the through aperture, such that a first end of the inner contact portion of the radio frequency connector is electrically connected to the first transmission trace and a second end thereof is electrically connected to the second transmission trace, so that a first end of the housing of the radio frequency connector is electrically connected to a ground layer of the first printed circuit board and a second end thereof is electrically connected to the ground layer of the second printed circuit board. Thus, the printed circuit board assembly is capable of improving aspects such as shielding effects, PIN performance and/or degree of integration compared with prior art.
Sleeve and shield terminal manufacturing method
A sleeve (11) is a hollow cylindrical member provided in a shield terminal (10), and pressable by a wire barrel (18) by being arranged between an insulating portion (63) and a shield portion (62) of a shielded cable (60). A convex portion (36) shaped to bulge radially outward over an entire circumference is provided at an intermediate position of the sleeve (11) in an axial direction. The convex portion (36) is crushed and elongated by the wire barrel (18) of an outer conductor terminal (13). The insulating portion (63) can be prevented from being excessively compressed.
Frictional locking receptacle with programmable release
A method and apparatus for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. In certain embodiments, the electrical connection can be secured by frictional engagement between the plug and receptacle housings. This can be accomplished by forcing a wedge into an interface between the housings or expanding a locking element, such as an elastomeric ring, into the interface. Such locking and releasing of the secure connection can be actuated using a locking nut.
PLUG FOR ELECTRONIC PLUCKED STRING INSTRUMENT AND CABLE WITH PLUG FOR ELECTRONIC PLUCKED STRING INSTRUMENT
The invention provides a plug for an electronic plucked string instrument having a structure for fixing with a set screw by inserting a cable into a sleeve in a plug side. A biting convex portion biting into an insulated outer sheath while receiving a screwing compression force of a set screw via a cable is formed integrally on an inner peripheral surface of an attachment sleeve in a plug side along a peripheral direction of a sleeve inner peripheral surface. The biting convex portion formed on the inner peripheral surface of the attachment sleeve in the plug bites into the insulated outer sheath of the cable. Thus, a slip displacement against a sleeve inner surface of the cable is inhibited by the biting convex portion and a slack of the set screw can be effectively suppressed even in a case where a stronger tensile force is applied to the cable.
CLAMP ASSEMBLY FOR RF COMPRESSION CONNECTOR
An RF compression connector includes a simplified clamp mechanism having a common clamp base, and a plurality of segments disposed on the common clamp base wherein the segments include alternating first and second retention members disposed along the circumference of the clamp, wherein each of the first retention members has an outwardly projecting shoulder to engage a connector body and each of the second retention members includes an inwardly projecting shoulder to engage an outer jacket of a coaxial cable connector. The first and second retention members of the clamp mechanism inhibit separation of the connector body relative to the coaxial cable.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR ACHIEVING IMPROVED GROUND STATION DESIGN
A radio-frequency device comprising (1) a ceramic component that forms a hole and (2) a connector coupled to the ceramic component, wherein the connector comprises an electrically conductive pin that at least partially extends into the hole formed in the ceramic component. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
Electrical connector having an outer conductor and a rear metallic plate secured to the outer conductor and a terminal with a protrusion exposed to air and spaced a predetermined distance from the rear metallic plate
An electrical connector includes: an insulator; a terminal secured in the insulator and having a front mating portion, a tail portion, and an intermediate portion; an outer conductor receiving the insulator; and a rear metallic plate secured to the outer conductor, wherein the terminal intermediate portion includes a vertical part having a protrusion exposing rearwardly to air and spaced a predetermined distance from the rear metallic plate.
