Actuator device

An actuator device includes a support part, a first movable part, a second movable part, a first connecting part connecting the first movable part to the second movable part, a second connecting part connecting the second movable part to the support part, a spiral coil provided to the second movable part, a first external terminal provided to the support part, and a first wiring connected to an inner end portion of the coil and the first external terminal. The first wiring includes a lead wiring connected to the first external terminal, and a straddle wiring provided to the second movable part so as to straddle the coil and connected to the inner end of the coil and the lead wiring. The width of the straddle wiring is larger than the width of the coil, and the thickness of the straddle wiring is smaller than the thickness of the coil.

A tool for working a substrate, the tool having a stator and a working piston, which is intended to move relative to the stator along a working axis, also having a drive, which is intended to drive the working piston from a starting position along the working axis to the substrate, the drive comprising a piston coil arranged on the working piston and a first stator coil arranged on the stator, the piston coil having a piston coil axis, which is oriented transversely, to the working axis.

Game controller with vibration accuators

A game controller including a housing with a first handgrip and a second handgrip is provided. The game controller includes a first vibration actuator integrated within the housing proximate to the first handgrip. Further included is a second vibration actuator integrated within the housing proximate to the second handgrip. A controller device is included and is configured to communicate one or more vibrational signals to one or both of the first vibration actuator and the second vibration actuator. The vibrational signals are configured to cause the housing of the game controller to vibrate in a vibrational pattern during use of the controller. The vibrational pattern is one of a plurality of vibrational patterns, and one or more of the plurality of vibration patterns are activated in correlation to one or more game actions occurring during gameplay of a video game using the game controller.

A double helix actuator is disclosed that includes a double helix coil wound around a movable proof mass that is enclosed within a magnetic structure. The double helix coil and the magnetic structure are arranged relative to each other so that the magnetic field generated by the entirety of the double helix coil contributes to a linear force direction of the actuator. The double helix actuator produces a greater linear force density compared to traditional racetrack coil actuators, where only a portion of the coil contributes to the linear force. The double helix actuator also produces torque in addition to linear force which allows the double helix to provide unique haptic sensations in a variety of applications.

An LRA with a magnet assembly sandwiched between a pair of moving masses or support blocks which are further sandwiched between a pair of springs. A stationary elongated shaft extends through both the magnet assembly and the pair of moving masses and the pair of springs with two opposite ends secured to the corresponding end walls of the case in which all the magnet assembly, the pair of moving masses and the springs are disclosed. The moving mass forms a pair of recesses in opposite top and bottom surfaces. The case forms a pair of protrusions on opposite top and bottom walls to respectively received within the corresponding recesses so as to provide the reliable support upon the moving mass in a vertical direction. Each moving mass forms a protrusion to hold the corresponding spring in position.
