A load testing device includes a connection unit to which a power source being tested is connected, a hydrogen generating unit that performs electrolysis based on power supplied from the power source being tested to generate hydrogen, two or more supply units to which hydrogen obtained in the hydrogen generating unit passes and to which a portable tank is removably attached, and an operational unit that has a load amount adjustment switch and a display unit. The load amount of the hydrogen generating unit is switched depending on an operational state of the load amount adjustment switch. The display unit displays at least one of an attachment status of the portable tank and a filling status of hydrogen in the two or more supply units.

Method for detecting poor mounting state of module, and array

This method for detecting a poor module-mounting-state in a concentrator photovoltaic apparatus includes: photographing a surface of an array by an imaging device; obtaining an image in which a virtual image, magnified through a condenser lens, of a light receiving portion including a cell and a vicinity thereof is formed, and a collection of pixels of the virtual image forms a composite virtual image of an entirety of the light receiving portion, the composite virtual image being projected over a plurality of modules; and detecting a poor module-mounting-state based on a form of the composite virtual image.

ENERGY PANEL ARRANGEMENT SHUTDOWN
20180013292 · 2018-01-11 ·

One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for facilitating a shutdown of output power from an energy panel arrangement to an inverter. A shutdown implementation module is coupled between an energy panel arrangement and an inverter that converts DC power from the energy panel arrangement to AC power for an AC power grid. A communication connection is established, over a power-line communication line, between the shutdown implementation module and a shutdown controller associated with the inverter. Responsive to identifying a loss of the communication connection or receiving a shutdown instruction over the power-line communication line, the shutdown implementation module shuts down output power from the energy panel arrangement to the inverter. The shutdown implementation module may be located within a threshold distance from the energy panel arrangement (e.g., within about 10 feet) so that the output power may be shutoff within a threshold timespan (e.g., within about 10 seconds).

Techniques for forecasting solar power generation include determining, by a computing device, respective proximity scores for a plurality of measurement devices, wherein the respective proximity scores are based on proximity of the measurement devices to a photovoltaic installation; determining, by the computing device, respective bearing scores for the plurality of measurement devices, wherein the respective bearing scores are based on respective angular offsets between the plurality of measurement devices and an azimuth of the photovoltaic installation; selecting, by the computing device, a first measurement device in the plurality of measurement devices using the respective proximity scores and the respective bearing scores; and predicting, by the computing device, a solar power generation level for the photovoltaic installation based on data obtained from the first measurement device.

Method for implementing power delivery transaction for potential electrical output of integrated renewable energy source and energy storage system facility

Methods for implementing power delivery transactions between a buyer and a seller of electrical energy supplied to an electrical grid by an integrated renewable energy source (RES) and energy storage system (ESS) of a RES-ESS facility are provided. Estimated total potential output of the RES is compared to a point of grid interconnect (POGI) limit to identify potential RES overgeneration, and the buyer is charged if potential RES overgeneration is less than potential overgeneration during one or more retrospective time windows. The method provides a basis for the RES-ESS facility owner to be paid for an estimated amount of energy that did not get stored as a result of a grid operator not fully discharging an ESS prior to the start of a new day.
