Control usage of electronic devices in premises
Provided is a system that controls at least one sound signal output device to emit at least one sound signal in at least one chosen area of a premises. This sound signal represents location-specific usage information of at least one electronic device and is intended to induce a control of a usage of this electronic device based on this location-specific usage information.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DATA TRANSMISSION BY USING SOUND
A method for facilitating transfer of data by using sound is provided. The method includes receiving, via a graphical user interface, a request, the request relating to a transfer of a file; retrieving the file from a memory; encrypting, by using a token, the retrieved file; encoding the encrypted file into sound data, the sound data relating to an audio file format; and converting, via a first electroacoustic transducer, the encoded sound data into an acoustic wave.
DISTRIBUTED MICROPHONE IN WIRELESS AUDIO SYSTEM
A microphone device generates a transmit audio stream via at least one microphone on the microphone device. The microphone device transmits the transmit audio stream to the computing device via a first wireless connection and ignores a receive audio stream received from the computing device via the first wireless connection. The speaker device obtains a set of connection parameters for the first wireless connection between the microphone device and the computing device, intercepts the receive audio stream transmitted using the first wireless connection from the computing device to the microphone device, and plays the receive audio stream on a speaker of the speaker device.
DEVICE FOR ELECTROINICALLY CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING PORTIONS OF AN ELECTRICAL LINE, PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM, METHOD FOR DETECTING A FAILURE IN AN ELECTRICAL LINE
The present disclosure includes devices, systems, and methods for electrically connecting and disconnecting portions of an electrical line of a public address system. One device includes a switch configured to electrically connect and disconnect a first and a second contact point, wherein the first and the second contact point are configured to be electrically connected to respective portions of the electrical line, a controller configured to control the switch based on at least one electrical characteristic at the first and/or second contact point, and a power supply configured to be electrically connected to the first contact point via the switch.

Loudspeaker placement visualizer system
A loudspeaker placement visualizer system includes a calibrated adjustable laser beam tool that can generate a beam cone angle corresponding to the predetermined sound dispersion angle of a loudspeaker. The tool is secured parallel to the central axis of the loudspeaker and adjusted to the predetermined sound dispersion angle to show what the acoustic coverage area of the loudspeaker will be in a particular venue. The laser beam projector has a cylindrical main body with an external reference indicator and a forward section that is rotatable relative to the main body to adjust the laser beam cone angle. The forward section has a calibrated scale proximate the reference indicator to enable the user to set and to see the beam cone angle. The tool may also be used during venue survey and acoustic design to determine the required sound dispersion angle of a loudspeaker to be installed.
Distributed audio control method, device system, and software product
A multipoint audio processing method for processing audio streams originating from a plurality of audio clients is executed in a multipoint audio processing node. The method includes the steps of receiving control information on how to preselect audio streams from received audio streams, receiving audio streams from audio clients connected to the distributed multipoint audio processing node and generating evaluated audio streams by analyzing packets of the received audio streams in terms of at least one audio communication characteristic, and attaching an analysis result information of said analysis to said packets, in each audio stream. Audio streams are selected by deciding on whether or not any evaluated audio stream is to be transmitted further, based on the received control information and/or the analysis result information contained in said evaluated audio streams. Then selected audio streams are transmitted further while discarding evaluated audio streams decided not to be to be transmitted further, without mixing any transmitted audio streams. Corresponding steps may be executed by a central audio processing node. A system of audio clients distributed nodes and a central node and a software product are also disclosed.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus includes an acquisition section configured to acquire a situation of a subject vehicle and a situation of another vehicle, a setting section configured to set, on the basis of the situation of the subject vehicle and the situation of the other vehicle, a position in the subject vehicle at which a sound image of an occupant riding in the other vehicle is localized, and a sound image localization processing section configured to localize the sound image of the occupant at the position set by the setting section. The acquisition section acquires at least a position of a seat in which the occupant is seated, and the setting section sets an empty seat in the subject vehicle as the position where the sound image of the occupant in the other vehicle is localized. The present technology is applicable to an information processing apparatus for controlling telepresence.
