Backlight module with MJT LED and backlight unit including the same
Embodiments of the disclosure provide a backlight module using MJT LEDs and a backlight unit including the same. More specifically, embodiments of the disclosure provide a backlight module, which includes MJT LEDs configured to increase an effective light emitting area of each of light emitting cells and optical members capable of uniformly dispersing light emitted from the MJT LEDs. In addition, embodiments of the disclosure provide a backlight unit using the backlight module, thereby reducing the number of LEDs constituting the backlight unit while allowing operation at low current.
LED ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR AMBIENT-LIGHT-DEPENDENT BRIGHTNESS CONTROL OF LEDS
An LED arrangement comprising at least one LED, which receives an LED illumination voltage in accordance with a square-wave signal, wherein the brightness of the LED is dependent on the ambient luminosity, which is measured by means of the LED, which is switched in a non-illuminated state as a light sensor. The at least one LED is arranged together with a first and a second transistor in a bridge circuit such that the first transistor applies the LED illumination voltage to the LED in accordance with the square-wave signal, and the second transistor applies a voltage having inverted polarity as the LED illumination voltage to the LED in intervals of the turned-off times of the LED, wherein the duty cycle of the square-wave signal is dependent on the strength of a photocurrent, which flows through the LED when the voltage having inverted polarity is applied thereto.
AIRFIELD RUNWAY LAMP CONTROLLER
An airfield runway lamp controller is described herein. One airfield runway lamp controller includes a current sense transformer configured to detect a failure of a light source of an airfield runway lamp, and an alternating current (AC) switch configured to shunt the light source of the airfield runway lamp upon the current sense transformer detecting a failure of the light source.

Solid-state lighting with commands and controls
A light-emitting diode (LED) luminaire controller comprising a transceiver circuit, a power converter circuit, and a control circuit is adopted to convert remote control signals into a pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal and a controllable DC voltage to operate an external LED luminaire by turning it on and off and controlling its luminous intensity. The LED luminaire controller further comprises a remote controller. When the remote control signals are initiated by the remote controller with phase-shift keying (PSK) signals transmitted, the transceiver circuit can demodulate such PSK signals and subsequently send the PWM signal, the controllable DC voltage, and a metering command to the control circuit to request responses accordingly.
Visible light communication modulation circuit, illumination device, illumination apparatus and visible light communication system
A visible light communication modulation circuit includes a modulation resistance circuit configured to change a current flowing through an LED light source by changing a resistance thereof, a measurement circuit configured to simultaneously measure a voltage applied to the LED light source and the current flowing through the LED light source at least twice until the current is stabilized, an calculation circuit configured to obtain an equivalent series resistance of the LED light source based on at least two sets of voltage values and current values and determine a target resistance of the modulation resistance circuit based on the equivalent series resistance and a predetermined modulation degree, and a conversion circuit configured to change the resistance of the modulation resistance circuit based on the target resistance.
Ostomy patient care system and method
Systems and methods of providing post-operative ostomy patient care can include software and/or hardware that facilitates patient care personnel, such as a patient coach, providing remote patient care or coaching over a network to an ostomy patient. The care may be provided by specially trained former patients, nurses, or other care providers. The system can integrate sensor data from an ostomy device and inputs from the former patients, healthcare professionals, and/or device manufacturer in provide the post-operative care.
ELECTROMAGNETIC CHARGE-SENSITIVE ELECTRIC MOSQUITO SWATTER
An electromagnetic charge-sensitive electric mosquito swatter, comprising a charging-discharging circuit (1), a boost circuit (3) and a central control circuit (4). The charging-discharging circuit (1) provides required power to the boost circuit (3). Also comprised are an electromagnetic charge space scanning circuit (5) and a gate circuit (6); the gate circuit (6) is bridged between the electromagnetic charge space scanning circuit (5) and the central control circuit (4) so that when the electromagnetic charge space scanning circuit (5) senses a holding signal of a human hand holding the swatter, the holding signal is converted into a startup signal by means of the gate circuit (6) and is transmitted to the central control circuit (4); and the central control circuit (4) drives the charging-discharging circuit (1) to provide power to the boost circuit (3). The present mosquito swatter has the advantages of being convenient and safe to use and being effective in shocking mosquitos.
Power-save mode pulse gating control for switching converter
An optical communication system includes a light source and an output capacitor coupled to the light source. The system also includes a switching converter circuit coupled to the output capacitor. The switching converter circuit is configured to provide an output voltage to the output capacitor based on an active mode and a power-save mode. The switching converter circuit includes a controller configured to perform pulse gating in the power-save mode based on a timer and a comparison of the output voltage with a voltage threshold.
