High voltage supply for compact radiation generator
Disclosed is a radiation logging tool, comprising a tool housing; a compact generator that produces radiation; a power supply coupled to the compact generator; and control circuitry. Embodiments of the compact generator comprise a generator vacuum tube comprising a source generating charged particles, and a target onto which the charged particles are directed; and a high voltage supply comprising a high voltage multiplier ladder located laterally adjacent to the generator vacuum tube. The high voltage supply applies a high voltage between the source and the target to accelerate the charged particles to a predetermined energy level. The compact generator also includes an electrical coupling between an output of the high voltage supply and the target of the generator vacuum tube to accommodate the collocated positions of the generator vacuum tube and the high voltage power supply.

An X-ray detector module includes a plurality of evaluation circuits, coupled to at least one converter circuit, each evaluation circuit including a multiplicity of pixel electronics circuits for processing the electrical signals from the converter circuit pixel by pixel; and a number of forwarding circuits, a forwarding circuit including at least a first data input for receiving a measured data set from a first evaluation circuit and at least a second data input for receiving a measured data set from a second evaluation circuit, or for receiving at least one forwarded measured data set from a further forwarding circuit of the number of forwarding circuits. Each forwarding circuit is constructed to forward the measured data sets that are received by way of the first data input and second data input to a coupled receiving circuit over a common data output.

A device configured to measure radioactivity emitted by a plurality of radionuclides is disclosed herein. The device includes a gamma detector and a source cage with an outer ring that defines a volume and includes an orientation feature and a plurality of holes configured to receive a radionuclide of the plurality of radionuclides. The device also includes a frame that includes an arm and a central rod, wherein the arm is configured to be coupled to the outer ring and includes an orientation pin. The central rod can be positioned relative to the volume when the arm is coupled to the outer ring of source cage. The orientation feature of the source cage is configured to engage the orientation pin of the arm and, when the orientation pin engages the orientation feature, the central rod is in a predetermined location relative to the volume.
HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLY FOR COMPACT RADIATION GENERATOR
Disclosed is a radiation logging tool, comprising a tool housing; a compact generator that produces radiation; a power supply coupled to the compact generator; and control circuitry. An X-ray detector module includes a plurality of evaluation circuits, coupled to at least one converter circuit, each evaluation circuit including a multiplicity of pixel electronics circuits for processing the electrical signals from the converter circuit pixel by pixel; and a number of forwarding circuits, a forwarding circuit including at least a first data input for receiving a measured data set from a first evaluation circuit and at least a second data input for receiving a measured data set from a second evaluation circuit, or for receiving at least one forwarded measured data set from a further forwarding circuit of the number of forwarding circuits. Each forwarding circuit is constructed to forward the measured data sets that are received by way of the first data input and second data input to a coupled receiving circuit over a common data output.
FAILURE ANALYSIS APPARATUS USING X-RAYS
An apparatus is provided, which includes a source, a holder, and a conductive member. The source generates an electron beam and the holder is configured to receive a sample. The conductive member is arranged between the source and the holder at a first position or a second position. The electron beam impinges on the sample to provide a first analysis reading when the conductive member is at the first position, and the electron beam impinges on the conductive member to emanate an X-ray beam on the sample to provide a second analysis reading when the conductive member is at the second position.

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method comprising obtaining a first silicon wafer comprising a mask on a first side, attaching a second silicon wafer on the first side of the first silicon wafer, and etching one of the wafers to partially expose a window layer deposited on the opposite silicon wafer and to leave a structure defined by the mask supporting the window layer.
