SOLAR-POWERED LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT SYSTEM
A light rail transit system has a railcar having a roller coaster wheel assembly, solar panels, a battery bank, an inverter, a solar charge controller, and a power rail contactor. The light rail system further has a rail system having a first riding rail and a second riding rail for receiving the roller coaster wheel assembly, and a power rail for providing backup power to the railcar via the power contactor, the power rail extending less than the length of the first riding rail and second riding rail and only supplying current when the power rail contactor of the railcar is in contact therewith.
TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
A transportation system (100) based on a plurality of pods (110) without any prime movers is disclosed, having a plurality of main tracks (102) having flexible drives to engage with the pods (110) and move the pods along the main track. The pods (110) can be carried by a last-miler vehicle for providing a seamless connectivity between a starting point of a commuter and a destination location without any change. The transportation system includes stations (150) having diverter belts (104), accelerator/decelerator paths (106) and diverter patch (114), where the pods (110) can be transshipped between the main track (102) and the last-miler vehicles.
Systems and methods for improved operations of ski lifts
Systems and methods for improved operations of ski lifts increase skier safety at on-boarding and off-boarding locations by providing an always-on, always-alert system that “watches” these locations, identifies developing problem situations, and initiates mitigation actions. One or more video cameras feed live video to a video processing module. The video processing module feeds resulting sequences of images to an artificial intelligence (AI) engine. The AI engine makes an inference regarding existence of a potential problem situation based on the sequence of images. This inference is fed to an inference processing module, which determines if the inference processing module should send an alert or interact with the lift motor controller to slow or stop the lift.
POWER GENERATOR ASSEMBLY FOR ROTATING APPLICATIONS
A rotating part that includes at least one generator unit having at least one coil, at least one permanent magnet and two pole shoes having pole surfaces facing radially outward is provided, The non-rotating part has an arc-shaped saddle adaptor of ferromagnetic material arranged with a radial distance to the pole surfaces. The saddle adaptor is configured to close a magnetic circuit passing via the pole shoes through the coil in a rotational position where the saddle adaptor overlaps with the pole shoes of the generator unit.
Fixture for automatic assembly, overturning and welding of sidewall aluminum profiles of rail vehicle
Provided is a fixture for automatic assembly, overturning and welding of sidewall aluminum profile of a rail vehicle, comprising a lifting mechanism, a supporting overturning device mounted on the lifting mechanism, an automatic assembling sidewall profile device mounted on the supporting overturning device, and a self-positioning locking device. The automatic assembling sidewall profile device comprises a sidewall-shaped support steel beam, and a rodless cylinder track platform and a fixing seat. The self-positioning locking devices are mounted on the rodless cylinder track platform and the fixing seat, and have a self-positioning base and a locking device. The self-positioning base comprises an outer housing is provided with the locking device and two symmetrically set self-positioning supports, and faces of the two self-positioning supports matching with the rail vehicle aluminum profile are provided with rollers having a V-shaped gap formed therebetween.
ARRANGEMENT FOR DRIVING A LOCOMOTIVE HAVING VARIOUS ENERGY-PROVISION SYSTEMS
An arrangement for driving a locomotive has various energy-provision systems. The locomotive contains a main energy-provision system as the main system and a drive system. Energy provided by the main system is supplied to the drive system as drive power and is used by the drive system for moving the locomotive. A railroad car carries at least one additional energy-provision system as an auxiliary system. The auxiliary system is used in a manner which is temporally offset from the main system in order to supply drive power to the drive system. Components which can be used by both the main system and the at least one auxiliary system are implemented only once and are used jointly by both the main system and the auxiliary system. Components which are used exclusively by the auxiliary system are arranged on the railroad car.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FOR A CABIN OF AN AIR OR RAIL TRANSPORT VEHICLE USING A PNEUMATIC AND THERMAL AIR SOURCE WHICH IS SEPARATE FROM THE AIR CONDITIONING SOURCE
The invention relates to an air conditioning system for a cabin (10) of an aircraft (80) comprising: a bleed air source (12); a ram-air circulation channel (13); a network of pipes and control valves; an air cycle turbine engine comprising at least one compressor (3) and a power turbine (4) which are mechanically connected to one another; and at least one primary cooling exchanger (PHX) which is accommodated in said channel (13), characterized in that said pipe network comprises a thermal power pipe (53) which is suitable for being able to fluidically connect, upon control of at least one control valve (25, 21), said air outlet (4b) of said power turbine (4) and said ram-air circulation channel (13) upstream of said primary exchanger (PHX) so that said bleed air expanded by said power turbine (4) can form a thermal energy source for said ram air being supplied to said primary circuit of said primary exchanger (PHX).
