Oleaginous bacterial cells and methods for producing lipids
This invention relates to cells and methods for producing lipids using cellulosic carbon source. More specifically the invention relates to oleaginous bacterial cells, wherein genes encoding at least one cellulolytic activity has been introduced. This invention also relates to methods for lipid production by cultivating an oleaginous bacterial strain or strains capable of expressing one or more cellulolytic activity.
Method for improved protein production in filamentous fungi
The present invention relates to a method for genetically modifying a filamentous fungus host for improved protein production. The method comprises that a filamentous fungus host is genetically modified to overexpress or to be deficient of specific genes. The invention relates also to the modified hosts. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for improved production or for producing an improved composition of proteins, such as cellulases, hemicellulases, other proteins involved in the degradation of lignocellulosic material, or other proteins, in a filamentous fungus host.
Enzymes
The present invention relates to new enzymes with improved properties and to compositions comprising these enzymes suitable for use in the production of a food, feed, or malt beverage product, such as in a brewing process.
ENZYMES FOR REDUCED IMMUNOLOGICAL STRESS
Compositions suitable for oral administration to an animal comprising at least one immune stress-reducing enzyme in an amount effective to decrease the level of positive acute phase protein in an animal, increase the level of negative acute phase protein in an animal, and/or improve animal growth performance is provided, as are methods using such compositions. The compositions include animal feed compositions, liquid compositions other than animal feed, and solid compositions other than animal feed.
Yeast Protein Having Antibacterial Function and Preparation Method Therefor
Provided in the present disclosure are a yeast protein having an antibacterial function and a preparation method therefor. The method includes: S1, performing liquid fermentation on a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain, and then performing separation to obtain a yeast milk; S2, acidifying the yeast milk to obtain an acidified yeast milk; and optionally performing autolysis, or exogenous enzyme catalytic hydrolysis, or mechanical crushing on the yeast milk to obtain a cell wall emulsion; S3, mixing the acidified yeast milk and the optional cell wall emulsion and performing autolysis to obtain an autolysis mixed solution; S4, performing first enzymolysis with compound protease; S5, performing second enzymolysis with seminase; and performing third enzymolysis with -glucanase and cellulase to obtain a yeast protein emulsion; and S6, evaporating and concentrating the yeast protein emulsion to obtain the yeast protein. According to the method, a yeast protein having a broad-spectrum antibacterial function can be prepared.
B-1,3-glucanase, polynucleotide, recombinant vector, transformant, production method for B-1,3- glucanase, enzyme preparation, and production method for paramylon having reduced molecular weight
A -1,3-glucanase that exhibits decomposition activity with respect to paramylon derived from the genus Euglena. The -1,3-glucanase is derived from the genus Euglena and exhibits the properties indicated below: (1) effect: hydrolyzing the -1,3-bond of -1,3-glucan; and (2) substrate specificity: decomposing at least paramylon. The -1,3-glucanase additionally exhibits the properties indicated below: (3) decomposition activity: the ratio of paramylon decomposition activity with respect to laminarin decomposition activity is 20% or higher; (4) optimum pH: 3.7-7.0; and (5) optimum temperature: 30-70 C.
NOVEL ACANTHOPHYSIUM SP. KMF001 HAVING HIGH CELLULASE ACTIVITY
The present invention relates to Acanthophysium sp. KMF001 strain having high cellulose activity, and more particularly, to a novel Acanthophysium sp. KMF001 strain having the ability to produce endo--1,4-glucanase, -glucosidase, and cellobiohydrolase and to a culture of the strain. The novel Acanthophysium sp. KMF001 strain according to the present invention can produce highly active cellulases, including endo--1,4-glucanase, -glucosidase, and cellobiohydrolase, and thus can be advantageously used not only for enzymatic saccharification of lignocellulosic biomass, but also in various industrial fields, including the pulp and paper making industry, the detergent industry, the agricultural product processing industry, the fiber industry, and the livestock industry, in which the degradation of cellulose is required.
