METHOD AND MACHINE FOR PREPARING A BREWED BEVERAGE

A method for preparing a brewed beverage has following steps: positioning a filter cartridge filled with an extraction material on a filter holder; heating water using a heating device and conveying the heated water to an inlet above the filter cartridge; moving the inlet relative to the filter cartridge in order to wet the extraction material with hot water, wherein the inlet moves relative to the filter paper cartridge in different patterns depending on the set brewing strength; the temperature of the supplied hot water is different depending on the set brewing strength, and/or the volume flow rate of hot water supplied through the inlet is different depending on the set brewing strength. A machine for preparing a brewed beverage performs the method.

The present disclosure relates to a coffee beverage extractor of a hand-drip type, and to a simple and convenient coffee beverage extraction method and apparatus, wherein, to reduce filter clogging and shorten the extraction time, by installing an improved dripper having a stirring function applied thereto, a coffee beverage can be quickly extracted at an espresso level from finely ground coffee beans, and a coffee beverage with deep flavor and increased extraction efficiency can be brewed from compressed coffee bean blocks and different types of ground coffee beans.

DRIP FILTER HEAD AND METHOD

This invention provides a drip filter head for a beverage apparatus comprising a connected array of beverage extraction units, each unit comprising an extraction chamber, and further comprising at least one filter.

Brewing Apparatus For French Press Style Coffee

An apparatus for production of French press style coffee via a process to immerse and steep coffee grounds in heated water in a non-oil-absorbing environment. Filtering a finished beverage from the steeped mixture through a microperforated non-oil-absorbing filter, where microperforations are sized to achieve sediments levels equivalent to or less than that of traditional French press, and filtration rate is enhanced via any combination of vibratory energy, air pressure, and air flow to the brewed mixture. The microperforated filter may be permanent and reusable, or may be disposable. The disposable filter is preferably made from flexible aluminum foil and recyclable. The apparatus and method support modification of filter size, microperforation size, perforation density, air pressure, air flow and vibratory action to vary beverage filtration rate and finished beverage composition.

POUR OVER TYPE SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SEPARATING AN EXTRACT FROM A SUSPENSION

The present disclosure includes many embodiments of devices and related methods for creating an infused extract from a mixture of infusible material and one or more liquids using “pour-over” type methodologies. Any desired infusible material can be used, as well as any desired combination of liquids.

A lid is operably coupled with the body and defines a plurality of through-holes. The plurality of through-holes are positioned to facilitate a consistent and evenly distributed flow through each of the plurality of compartments of the insert.

Apparatus and method for brewing beverages

Apparatus and methods are provided for brewing a beverage from precursor particulates. The apparatus comprises a liquid delivery system for delivering liquid into a brewing basket. The liquid delivery system comprises a showerhead disposed above at least a portion of the brewing basket. The showerhead has a plurality of outlet openings through which liquid flows outward from the showerhead into the brew basket. At least two of the outlet openings are oriented to direct the flow of liquid out of the showerhead at least in part transversely of the brew basket.

Coffee machine and method for operating a coffee machine

A coffee machine includes a device for supplying hot water to an outlet device. The outlet device is adapted for being arranged above a filter vessel into which a filter paper insert with ground coffee is insertable and for receiving the hot water from the hot water supply. The outlet device has a central outlet opening over a middle region of the filter-paper insert when filled with ground coffee and a plurality of outer outlet openings arranged above a middle region of the side walls of the filled filter-paper insert. A controllable selector switch controls a rate of hot water through individual outlet openings of the outlet device. The controllable selector switch has at least three switching positions for adjusting coffee strength. In all switching positions of the controllable selector switch the hot water is at least partially supplied via the outer outlet openings over the filled filter-paper insert.
