The present invention relates to a collection receptacle for collecting insoluble material that is used for preparing beverages by means of an infusion device, wherein the infusion device comprises a container with an open end and a closed end for holding the beverage and the insoluble material. A piston-filter arrangement can be inserted into the container via the open end and can be moved toward the closed end. The collection receptacle can be inserted into the container, and has an opening that is enclosed by an edge, and a first coupling element that can be coupled with a second coupling element of the piston-filter arrangement such that, in the coupled state, a distance is formed between the edge of the collection receptacle and the piston-filter arrangement. In addition, the invention relates to an infusion device with such a collection receptacle.

An improved French coffee press apparatus, system, and method that utilizes a locking ring to engage with a locking base that can be removed from the carafe, along with any coffee grounds. The locking ring is connected to the pressing rod, which also includes a filter system above the locking ring. The pressing rod fits through an opening in the carafe lid, and the carafe lid secures the liquid inside the carafe. The combination of the filtering system assists in the filtering and capture of any coffee grounds into the locking base for cleaning, and the locking ring assists in the removal of the locking base.

An improved French coffee press apparatus, system, and method that utilizes a locking ring to engage with a locking base that can be removed from the carafe, along with any coffee grounds. The locking ring is connected to the pressing rod, which also includes a filter system above the locking ring. The pressing rod fits through an opening in the carafe lid, and the carafe lid secures the liquid inside the carafe. The combination of the filtering system assists in the filtering and capture of any coffee grounds into the locking base for cleaning, and the locking ring assists in the removal of the locking base.

The connector includes a channel having a first connection end and a second connection end. The first connection end is detachably connected to the first open end, and the second connection end is detachably connected to the second open end. The first connection end is hermetically connected to the connector through the sealing member, and/or the second connection end is hermetically connected to the connector through the sealing member. The filter is provided with a filtering hole. The filter is connected to the connector and is located between the first connection end and the second connection end.

The first liquid receiver body includes a first end and a first open end. The second liquid receiver body includes a second end and a second open end. The connector includes a channel having a first connection end and a second connection end. The first connection end is detachably connected to the first open end, and the second connection end is detachably connected to the second open end. The first connection end is hermetically connected to the connector through the sealing member, and/or the second connection end is hermetically connected to the connector through the sealing member. A method of brewing a beverage using a beverage maker having a brew container, a first cylindrical section having a first diameter and a second section attached to the first cylindrical section having a portion with a second greater diameter; a liquid reservoir; a liquid delivery system to deliver the liquid to the brew container; a plunger assembly having a filter portion to filter the substance to produce the beverage from the liquid and a gasket to form a seal between the plunger assembly and an inner wall of the brew container in the first cylindrical section. As the plunger assembly is raised through the liquid a vacuum is formed between the plunger assembly and the bottom of the brew container and the filter traps and separates the substance to produce the beverage from the beverage.
