A vending machine for producing beverages. The vending machine presents a user with a number of beverage options and receives the user selection. A plurality of refrigerated containers house various comestibles. An ejection mechanism is disposed within each container for expelling comestibles from the container. Control module selectively actuates the ejection mechanisms to expel comestibles required to make the user-selected beverage. The expelled comestibles slide down along a ramp into a blending chamber. A liquid is dispensed onto the ramp facilitating movement of the comestibles. The control module actuates the blender apparatus to blend the comestibles and the liquid into a homogenous beverage. The beverage is dispensed into a cup. The ramp and the blending chamber are automatically rinsed after preparation of each beverage.

A steam show apparatus is provided with a water boiler; a heater for heating water in the water boiler to hot water and steam; a dispenser for dispensing hot water fed from the water boiler; an electromagnetic valve for brewing configured to open to allow hot water to enter a cup via the dispenser so as to make a beverage by mixing with material in the cup; at least one steam line each including an outlet; a steam controller co-activates with the electromagnetic valve for brewing so that in a beverage making process, steam in the steam line flows out of the outlet as a steam show; and a CPU for controlling an amount of the steam sprayed out of the outlet. It has an effect similar to dancing fountain.

The present subject matter provides a method for dispensing baby formula at a refrigerator appliance. The method includes loading a baby formula module with baby formula, mounting the baby formula module within a dispenser recess of the refrigerator appliance, detecting the baby formula module with a sensor of the refrigerator appliance, measuring a temperature of water within a hot water tank of the refrigerator appliance, flowing water from the hot water tank to the baby formula module when the temperature of water within the hot water tank is no greater than a temperature limit, and directing a mixture of baby formula and water out of the baby formula module into the dispenser recess. A related refrigerator appliance is also provided.

The dosing position being placed at a lower vertical position than the mixing position, and wherein the machine comprises an auger at the bottom of the beverage ingredient powder storing container configured for guiding a dose of powder to the outlet of the storing container. The machine also comprises a door at the outlet of the storing container, the door being configured so that when the mixing chamber moves to the dosing position the movement of the mixing chamber activates the opening of the door and when the mixing chamber moves to the mixing position the movement of the mixing chamber induces the closure of the door.
