MULTIPLE HEIGHT PLATFORM

A device to raise a vessel placed in a liquid dispensing machine to a proper height to avoid spillage/splashing while filling the vessel with liquid. The multiple height platform include a shelf surrounded by an outer wall. The shelf is positioned at a height other than one-half the total height of the outer wall. Thus depending on which side of the multiple height platform is placed under the liquid dispenser the shelf and the vessel placed on it can be at 2 different heights. In one design there is an opening in the outer wall to allow a handle for the vessel to extend beyond the wall. Another variation of the multiple height platform the outer wall include a portion which is extendable to allow the variation in the size of the opening in the outer wall.

An actuation assembly may adjust a height of the movable support member. A beverage vessel rim detector may be configured to determine whether an uppermost part of a beverage vessel supported by the movable support member is at an appropriate position for a beverage to be dispensed into the beverage vessel. A first beverage vessel detector may be positioned below the beverage vessel rim detector and configured to determine whether a beverage vessel is present on the movable support member. A second beverage vessel detector may be arranged between the beverage vessel rim detector and the first beverage vessel detector and configured to determine whether a beverage vessel is present on the movable support member.

BREW BASKET FOR AN AIRCRAFT GALLEY COFFEE MAKER

A brew basket for a brewing apparatus includes a bottom wall including a dispensing opening and a peripheral wall extending from the bottom wall to define a basket opening configured to receive a coffee filter (pillow) pack. A structure is installed within the basket opening for providing liquid channels between a back side of the structure and an interior surface of the peripheral wall. The structure may include a number of perforated sidewall spacers mounted to the interior surface of the peripheral wall. The structure may include an insert spacing ring insertion into the basket opening, wherein the insert spacing ring includes a sidewall with perforated sidewall protrusions.

BEVERAGE DISPENSING MACHINE

Aspects of the present invention relate to A beverage dispensing machine (1) for dispensing a beverage (BV) into a vessel (2). The beverage dispensing machine (1) has a upper engaging member (63) movable to a deployed position for engaging a upper portion of the vessel (2) and at least one side engaging member (68-1, 68-2) movable to a deployed position for engaging a sidewall (51) of the vessel (2). An actuating mechanism (5) is provided for deploying the upper engaging member (63) in conjunction with the at least one side engaging member (68-1, 68-2) to retain the vessel (2) in the beverage dispensing machine (1). Aspects of the present invention also relate to a vehicle having a beverage dispensing machine (1).

MILK FROTHING METHOD, SYSTEM, AND APPARATUS

A milk-frothing apparatus for preparing high quality micro-foamed milk for coffee drinks consistently and at high volume. A machine having one or more steaming stations includes an elevator at each station with an elevator-mounted steaming wand having a precise angle at the discharge end. The elevator-mounted steaming wand is configured to travel from an upward stowed status to a downward deployed status to insert the discharge end of the elevator-mounted steaming wand into milk inside a pitcher precisely located on the machine. A steam boiler is hydraulically coupled to the elevator-mounted steam wand via flexible tubing and an infrared sensor monitors the temperature of the pitcher during a downward deployed status. An LCD screen with operator controls and displays oriented to coincide spatially with the elevator indicate different operational settings selected by the user and related to machine operation.
