Cookware Strainer Device for Controlled Liquid Dispensing
20250338993 · 2025-11-06 ·

A cookware system which includes a pan and a strainer lid to safely and efficiently drain hot liquids without removing the lid is disclosed. The strainer lid comprises a transparent disk with a heat-resistant peripheral rim that seals to the top of the pan, preventing spillage. A central twist knob is rotatably mounted on the lid and connected to a pivot arm positioned beneath the disk. The pivot arm extends to a cavity within the rim, where the pivot arm controls a strainer cover that aligns with or blocks a set of strainer holes embedded in the rim. By rotating the knob, the user can selectively open or close the strainer to control liquid flow. The system enables controlled draining of liquids, such as water or grease, while retaining food inside the pan, thereby improving user safety by minimizing contact with steam or splashing liquid during cooking.
