A locking element (10), which is equipped to lock the drive (2) in a non-operational state, and an unlocking element (11), which is equipped to actuate the locking element (10) in order to release the locking, contribute to the high operational safety of the appliance.

Provided is a tool for cutting food into pieces, that includes at least one cutting element adjacent to a bearing surface. A cutting disc for cutting foodstuffs, intended for a receptacle of an appliance of the vegetable cutting type, includes: a rotary drive hub, a supporting disc firmly secured to the hub, and at least one blade attached on the supporting disc and extending radially from the hub. A food grinder includes a grip mechanism having a flip cover body pivotally connected to a handle body, a cylindrical cutter set detachably mounted in the handle body, and a driving mechanism mounted in the grip mechanism.
