One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for an ignition control module for a gas appliance. The housing of the ignition control module, and/or the mounting points for mounting the module to a gas appliance, can be configured to dispose the battery in a manner that provides for potential battery leakage to flow away from most operable components of the module. Further, the ignitor connection terminals can be configured to provide for ease of connection, by providing a connector guide disposed in a cylindrically-shaped terminal housing. Additionally, an ignitor actuator terminal can be configured to selectably engage with an ignitor actuator connector, where the ignitor actuator terminal comprises at least two connector points that engage with a single ignitor actuator connector.

An improved skewer (30 60) and skewer handling device (10) used for manipulating shish kebobs. The improved skewer is comprised of a mating shank (30a) having an array of mating surfaces, such as teeth or grooves, formed into the shank. The handling device is comprised of a pair of opposed handles (10a 10aa) joined by linear actuator (20a 20b) turning a rod (10d) disposed with a skewer engaging means (10e), the mating surfaces of the shank configured to mate with the skewer engaging gear. A shaft (10b) is affixed to the handles at one end and is formed with a guide (10h) at an opposing end, the guide selected to maintain the position of the mating surfaces of the mating shank with the skewer engaging gear. An adaptor (50) is also provided to allow conversion of prior art skewers (52 54) to be used with the handling device (10).

A multifunctional device may include tongs having a first arm and a second arm pivotally connected at a hinge, each arm terminating in a tong end. A multifunctional utensil may include a thermometer comprising a temperature probe and a digital display. A multifunctional utensil may include a thermometer cradle affixed to the device configured to receive the thermometer. A multifunctional utensil may include the thermometer cradle optionally including a retracting mechanism configured to extend and retract the temperature probe through an aperture. A multifunctional utensil may optionally include an integrated digital scale configured for measuring a weight of one or more items held by the tongs.

A disposal food handling finger tongs have finger pockets for grasping food. The pockets are connected by at least one connecting tab. At least one functional finger/thumb accommodation area is presented and at least one finger/thumb stability is optionally provided. The disposable tongs provide a triple protection to the user by providing soft irregular peripheral edges help prevent paper cuts. Also the central connecting tab between the two jaw pockets can be torn to separate the tongs into two tongs, so that the two food contact sides of the respective pockets can be folded against each other. Third, if both the front and back of pockets are messy, the clean central tab can be torn, and folded over the back and/or front of the messy pockets, thereby keeping the hands, fingers and/or thumb of the user clean during disposal.

Disclosed is a waffle tong device and a method of using the waffle tong device. The waffle tong device being arranged so that a first and second side of the waffle tong device can be brought together by compressing a spring biased connector and once compressed, the waffle tong device can be placed on a waffle maker, filled with waffle batter and the waffle batter cooked to form a stuffed waffle. The spring biased connector configured such that once the waffle batter is cooked, the waffle tong device can be removed from the waffle maker and allowed to open whereupon the resultant stuffed waffle can be removed from the waffle tong device. Handle portions can be applied to the connector to allow for manipulation of the waffle tong device without risk of burns.

A device for safely holding a food item, the device comprising two contoured, identical plates bound together at one edge by a spiral wire coil, such that the plates define a space in between configured to receive and safely hold the food item for slicing. The device further comprises a plurality of protrusions on an inner face of each plate, adapted to grip the food item placed in between the two contoured, identical plates.

Tongs for manipulating shish-kebob on a barbeque grill, the tongs having two arms, the two arms being in parallel relationship at an insulated handle end, which includes a pivot point, the arms diverging at the opposing end of the handle end, to form two opposing, spaced apart arms having kebob engaging ends, each end having a horizontal slot formed in the tip of the kebob engaging ends, the slit having a notched closed end, the slot and notch for the receipt of the ends of a skewer, the tongs being compressed so that the kebob engaging ends engage the outer food items on the skewer preventing their rotation so that the kebob can be flipped for even cooking on the opposing side and for removal from the grill.

A food warming device is shown and described. The food warming device includes a container having a base and at least one sidewall rising therefrom creating an interior volume. A removable lid section is secured to the end of the at least one sidewall opposite the base wherein the base, the at least one sidewall, and the removable lid include an insulative property. The interior volume of the container is partially filled with a volume of hot liquid. A handle is secured to the at least one sidewall adjacent to the removable lid.
