The present invention relates to protective shield for use with a plurality of interchangeable cooking tools and/or utensils, such as a spatula, spoon, and the like. The protective shield offers protection from splashes from hot oil and grease, exposed heat and flame, and attaches to a handle end of the utensil via a threaded or other secure mechanism. The protective shield is conically shaped and includes a strap and a latch on a circumference of a base of the structure, which is used to expand and retract the size and circumference of the protective shield.

A kit has a handle with first and second handle portions asymmetrically disposed above a pivot. The pivot may be collinear with the first handle portion and connected by an offset leg to the second handle portion. Various instrument arms connected to instrument heads are preferably provided as a kit with the handle. A representative utensil includes a first tool carried by and movable relative to a first arm portion, a second tool carried by and movable relative to a second arm portion, and a hinge coupling the first and second arm portions. A guide structure is coupled to the first and second arm portions to guide motion of at least one of the first and second tools relative to the other.

Folding plastic tongs for serving food items are disclosed. The tongs have arms joined at a hinge and extending in a lengthwise direction from the hinge. A first protrusion extends from an inner surface of the first arm and a second protrusion extends from an inner surface of the second arm. The first protrusion and the second protrusion are configured to connect to each other to restrain an opening movement of the arms. Gripping portions are formed at ends of each of the arms. The hinge is configured to allow the arms to open to a position such that the first arm forms at least an obtuse angle with the second arm when the first protrusion and the second protrusion are not connected.

The present disclosure provides a hand-held electric barbecue device, including a handle, where the handle is internally provided with a driving system and a linkage mechanism, the linkage mechanism is in driving connection to an output end of the driving system and is detachably connected to a barbecue fork, and the barbecue fork is in driving connection to the driving system through the linkage mechanism. The barbecue fork is detachably connected to an interior of the handle through the linkage mechanism, which facilities the change of different forks to meet different barbecue requirements.

A disposal food handling finger tongs or hand coverings for grasping food or other objects. The pockets or finger stalls are connected by at least one connecting tab. At least one functional finger/thumb accommodation area is presented and at least one finger/thumb stability is optionally provided. A food product gripping mechanism is provided. The food product gripping mechanism includes a shaft connected to a hub. A release mechanism has a first passage in fluid communication with a second passage. The second passage is configured to allow the shaft to pass therethrough. A tension member is positioned partly within the first passage of the release mechanism. A guide spool is configured to receive a portion of the tension member and further configured to allow the shaft to pass therethrough and a plurality of tongs is connected to the hub.
