A multipurpose kitchen utensil useful for wiping the wire elements of a whisk has a working portion containing a plurality of slots arranged arcuately and extending radially in spaced relation to one another and structured to receive the wire elements of a whisk. The utensil includes a central core member formed of a material capable of maintaining its shape when subject to external pressure, and an overlying layer of a more resilient material such as silicone. The radial slots extend inwardly and taper to an edge capable as serving as a spatula.

A device for handling seeds and grains, suitable for use in food processing and/or preparation, is disclosed. This device features a semi-spherical bowl with perforations, a wiper that is activated by engaging the handle, and measuring lines on the semi-spherical bowl.

A grilling tool is described herein that has a replaceable tip, and can be used with a variety of other attachments. The grilling tool can be made of a heat-conformable material such that during use grooves are formed in the replaceable tip that correspond to a grilling surface on which it is used. Once the grooves are too deep or the tip is fully used, the tip can be replaced.

A heat shield in the shape of a semi-sphere made of flexible material and having a centralized opening therein so that the heat shield can be slidingly placed on the shaft or handle of a cooking utensil. The outer shell of the heat shield also has a plurality of criss-crossed ribs disposed thereon wherein the ribs are strengthening ribs for providing additional rigidity to the flexible shell which is expected to be made of a flexible, stretchable material like silicone or the like. The hand tool comprises the tool section, a handle, and a shield sleeve. The handle can be attached to the tool section or to the shield sleeve. In one embodiment, the tool section is reversibly attached to the shield sleeve, so that the tool is interchangeable with other tools.
