Shower storage and assist assembly
A storage and assist assembly for a shower includes a first member, a second member, and an elongated member. The first member is configured to be coupled to an upper portion of a fixed wall member. The second member is configured to be coupled to a lower portion of the fixed wall member. The elongated member is removably coupled between the first and second members and is configured to receive one or more storage accessories thereon.
Collapsible grab bars for bath tubs and/or showers
A walk-in bathing environment is used by people who may have trouble getting in and out of standard bathtubs or showers. Grab bars are positioned in and around the bathing environments to aid in entering the environments, exiting the environments, sitting, standing, and otherwise moving relative to the bathing environment. The grab bars may be placed on the walls, top, external, or generally on and around the bathing environment such that a user can grab the one or more grab bars in order to provide support for moving relative to the bathing environment. The grab bars are connected to the environment such that they can be moved between a use and a non-use configuration, such that the bars are extending from a portion of the housing only when desired by the user.
BATHTUB DOOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Embodiments described herein include a bathtub that can include a U-shaped step saddle associated with a door assembly. The door assembly can include a hinge coupled with the U-shaped step saddle such that the door assembly can be transitioned between an open position and a closed position. The door assembly can include a catch and a latch to secure the door in the closed position.
Vertical bathtub closure systems and methods
Embodiments described herein include a bathtub closure system having a step, the step having a first side panel, a second side panel, and an elongated platform defining a cavity, where the cavity can be configured to facilitate ingress and egress into a bathtub. The bathtub closure system can include a hinged closure, where the closure can be coupled with the step and can cooperate with the step to form a substantially watertight seal when the closure is in a closed position.
Fitting assembly
A fitting assembly for attaching an elongate member to a surface within a shower or bath area includes a clamp including a collar arranged to receive and abut the elongate member, the collar having an axially extending split, the clamp further including a finger extending outwardly from the collar adjacent one side of the split. A cover includes an aperture arranged to receive the elongate member, the cover arranged to retain the clamp within such that the collar is axially aligned with the aperture. A bracket is arranged to be fixed to the surface and to receive and retain the cover containing the clamp, the bracket comprising a receiving portion arranged to urge the finger so as to compress the collar portion at the split, thereby clamping the elongate member within the collar.
Bath Safety Rail
A bath safety rail for being engaged to and disengaged from a bath surface. The bath safety rail includes a base, a handle on the base, first and second suction cups opposing the handle, cam followers on the suction cups that extend into the base, and cams in the base to engage and draw up the cam followers and suction cups to thereby create suction. The handle is two-piece where the pieces are separated by a handle plane, where each axis of each suction cup is in the handle plane.
BATHTUB POST
A vertical post can increase bathtub safety by providing a hand-hold which can be installed permanently to many types of bathtubs. Embodiments include a vertical tubular section and a lag bolt at a bottom rotationally fixed to the tubular section. The vertical post can pass through a hole in the bathtub side and be anchored to the sub floor of the home under the bathtub.
WALK IN BATH
A walk in bath includes a shell, a door, and a seal member. The shell defines a bathing area and includes a wall with an opening therein. The door is moveable relative to the wall between a closed position, in which the door engages the opening, and an open position allowing ingress into and egress from the bathing area through the opening. The seal member is located between the wall and the door in the closed position to seal a gap therebetween to prohibit water from leaking from the bathing area through the gap. The seal member includes a first end, a second end, and an intermediate hollow section extending between the first and second ends. Each of the first and second ends is closed to prevent water from entering into the seal member.
Bathroom fixture assembly for fall protection
A bathroom fixture assembly comprising a plurality of rigid vertical members each comprising a first end configured to couple to a ceiling and a second end configured to extend downward beyond an upper edge of an outer wall of a basin of a bathtub or shower. The assembly may comprise a shower curtain channel configured to house a fully-functioning shower curtain. The assembly may further comprise one or more gates that may be used as grab bars and that may lock into position about a 180 degree range of motion around any of the rigid vertical members. The assembly may further comprise a seat, which may pivot from an upward position to a horizontal position when use is desired. The assembly may optionally comprise an exterior seat, cabinet, light, multi-use davit/hook, and/or physical therapy sky hook.
