Boron implanting using a co-gas
An apparatus and methods of improving the ion beam quality of a halogen-based source gas are disclosed. Unexpectedly, the introduction of a noble gas, such as argon or neon, to an ion source chamber may increase the percentage of desirable ion species, while decreasing the amount of contaminants and halogen-containing ions. This is especially beneficial in non-mass analyzed implanters, where all ions are implanted into the workpiece. In one embodiment, a first source gas, comprising a processing species and a halogen is introduced into a ion source chamber, a second source gas comprising a hydride, and a third source gas comprising a noble gas are also introduced. The combination of these three source gases produces an ion beam having a higher percentage of pure processing species ions than would occur if the third source gas were not used.

A multifunctional coating method involves cleaning a surface, applying a layer of corrosion-resistant alloy coating to the surface, and applying an oleo-hydrophobic composite coating over the corrosion-resistant alloy coating. An oil and gas pipe has an inner surface with a multifunctional coating applied using the multifunctional coating method, and has an inner oleo-hydrophobic composite coating, beneath the inner oleo-hydrophobic composite coating a corrosion-resistant alloy coating, and beneath the corrosion-resistant alloy coating untreated pipe or any other metallic substrate.

Methods of enhancing the corrosion resistance of an oxidizable material exposed to a supercritical fluid is disclosed One method includes placing a surface layer on an oxidizable material, and choosing a buffered supercritical fluid containing a reducing agent with the composition of the buffered supercritical fluid containing the reducing agent chosen to avoid the corrosion of the surface layer or reduce the rate of corrosion of the surface layer and avoid the corrosion of the oxidizable material or reduce the rate of corrosion of the oxidizable material at a temperature above the supercritical temperature and supercritical pressure of the supercritical fluid.
Zincating and doping of metal liner for liner passivation and adhesion improvement
A method for forming a self-forming barrier in a feature of a substrate is provided, including the following operations: depositing a metallic liner in the feature of the substrate, the metallic liner being deposited over a dielectric of the substrate; depositing a zinc-containing precursor over the metallic liner; performing a thermal soak of the substrate; repeating the depositing of the zinc-containing precursor and the thermal soak of the substrate for a predefined number of cycles; wherein the method forms a zinc-containing barrier layer at an interface between the metallic liner and the dielectric.
Wiring board and method for manufacturing the same
A method for manufacturing a wiring board according to the present disclosure includes: in the following order, (a) a step of irradiating an insulating layer composed of a resin composition with active energy rays; (b) a step of adsorbing an electroless plating catalyst to the insulating layer; and (c) a step of forming a metal layer on a surface of the insulating layer by electroless plating, in which in the step (a), a modified region having a thickness of 20 nm or more in a depth direction from the surface of the insulating layer and voids communicating from the surface of the insulating layer is formed by irradiation of the active energy rays.
Plated terminations
Improved termination features for multilayer electronic components are disclosed. Monolithic components are provided with plated terminations whereby the need for typical thick-film termination stripes is eliminated or greatly simplified. Such termination technology eliminates many typical termination problems and enables a higher number of terminations with finer pitch, which may be especially beneficial on smaller electronic components. The subject plated terminations are guided and anchored by exposed internal electrode tabs and additional anchor tab portions which may optionally extend to the cover layers of a multilayer component. Such anchor tabs may be positioned internally or externally relative to a chip structure to nucleate additional metallized plating material. External anchor tabs positioned on top and bottom sides of a monolithic structure can facilitate the formation of wrap-around plated terminations. The disclosed technology may be utilized with a plurality of monolithic multilayer components, including interdigitated capacitors, multilayer capacitor arrays, and integrated passive components. A variety of different plating techniques and termination materials may be employed in the formation of the subject self-determining plated terminations.

METHOD OF PRODUCING METAL MESH TYPE TRANSPARENT CONDUCTING FILM USING PHOTORESIST ENGRAVED PATTERN AND SURFACE MODIFICATION AND TRANSPARENT CONDUCTING FILM PRODUCED BY THE SAME
Provided is a method of producing a metal mesh type transparent conducting film using a photoresist engraved pattern and surface modification including (S1) forming a photoresist layer 20 on an upper surface of a substrate 10 or an upper surface and lower surface of a substrate 10; (S2) forming an engraved pattern portion in which embossed portions 21 and engraved portions 22 are arranged in a mesh shape in the photoresist layer 20; (S3) depositing a first metal film conductive layer 40 on the engraved pattern portion of the photoresist layer 20, or growing a second metal film conductive layer 50 through a plating process on the first metal film conductive layer 40 in which deposition is completed; (S4) surface-modifying with dry ice powders a surface of the substrate in which deposition or plating is completed; and (S5) removing the embossed portions 21 of the photoresist layer 20, and by forming a thick metal film conductive layer and then performing a wet etching process, by enabling not to perform a wet etching process after forming the thick metal film conductive layer, and by facilitating desorption through surface modification using dry ice, process complexity can be improved and a defect rate can be reduced. Further, it is possible to provide a transparent conducting film having high reliability by greatly reducing visibility through upper and lower low-reflective layers deposited in the engraved portion and enabling to serve as an adhesive layer in the lower portion and as a protective layer in the upper layer.
