SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LITHIUM
A decoupled plating system is provided for producing lithium. In a general embodiment, the present disclosure provides a feed tank configured to supply a lithium-rich aqueous electrolyte stream, a plating tank that is configured to receive an organic electrolyte and plate out lithium metal from that organic electrolyte, and one or more lithium replenishment cells configured to receive both electrolytes, keep them separated, and selectively move lithium ions from the aqueous electrolyte into the spent organic electrolyte stream. The present system and process can advantageously reduce operating costs and/or improve energy efficiency in production of lithium metal and associated products.

HIGH ENERGY LI BATTERIES WITH LEAN LITHIUM METAL ANODES AND METHODS FOR PRELITHIATION
The present disclosure provides the use of prelithiated hard carbon in the preparation of lean lithium metal anode electrode, the incorporation of the lean lithium metal anode electrode into full cells, and the evaluation of the electrochemical performances in the full cell under practical conditions. A full cell using the prelithiated hard carbon with lean lithium metal anode electrode and a high-capacity cathode can exhibit high energy density, high Coulombic efficiency, and long cycling life.

REDOX MEMBRANES FOR LITHIUM EXTRACTION
An apparatus, system and redox membrane for efficient lithium-ion extraction from natural salt waters or geothermal brines or manmade sources such as from lithium battery recycling are provided. The redox membrane is selective for lithium ions over other spectator ions making the system capable of selectively extracting lithium-ions from multiple-ion source solutions. The system uses the redox membrane as an electrochemically active material acting as a Li-selective membrane for direct lithium extraction from a lithium-ion source. The redox membrane is also not porous to solvents and is stable in caustic and high temperature environments. The features of the redox membrane and system allow the recovery of lithium from low purity sources and the production of higher purity products at reduced costs and process steps over conventional processes.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELECTROLYTIC COPPER FOIL
A method for producing an electrolytic copper foil is provided. The method includes preparing a copper electrolytic solution including at least one addition agent and performing an electroplating step including: electrolyzing the copper electrolytic solution to form a raw foil layer. The raw foil layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. In the X-ray diffraction spectrum of the first surface, a ratio of the diffraction peak intensity I(200) of the (200) crystal face of the first surface relative to the diffraction peak intensity I(111) of the (111) crystal face of the first surface is between 0.5 and 2.0. A ratio of the diffraction peak intensity I(200) of the (200) crystal face of the second surface relative to the diffraction peak intensity I(111) of the (111) crystal face of the second surface is between 0.5 and 2.0.
