A water treatment system comprising a first reactor and a second reactor arranged to be placed in series in a body of water, the first and/or second reactor comprising at least one cell for housing biomedia. A mid-settling zone is provided between the first and second reactors for separating solids in the water. A method of treating water, the method comprising passing water to be treated through a first reactor and then a second reactor arranged in series in a body of water, the first and/or second reactors comprising at least one cell for housing biomedia, wherein the water is passed through a mid-settling zone between the first and second reactors before passing through the second reactor.

System for Treating Sewage
A sewage treatment system uses a multi-stage process to treat waste materials. Sewage is contained in a first tank, from which liquid waste is filtered and transferred to a second tank, where the first tank retains solid waste. The second tank may contain a plurality of chambers, with the chambers connected using ports for fluid communication. Liquid waste in the second tank undergoes aerobic digestion, where an aeration device may aid in the digestion process. The second tank may also include a UV light source to reduce bacteria. The treated liquid from the second tank may be clean enough to be discharged directly into a leach field which would not meet standards for conventional leach fields.

A device for the housing and stimulation of underwater microbial activity has a lower inlet end and an upper discharge end, the lower inlet end defining an inlet opening therein, said housing defining multiple channels therein extending to the upper discharge end of said housing, said inlet opening communicating with interconnected channels, following an indirect non linear path between said inlet end opening to a discharge opening defined in said discharge end, so as to disrupt the path of fluid as it travels from inlet opening to said discharge opening. The device has at least one leg extending from the lower inlet end to keep the device off the bottom of a waterbody floor to limit its susceptibility to clogging from the sediment bottom or growing organics. The leg has sufficient weight to sink to bottom.

Microbubble aerator
An aerating system for treating a waste lagoon or some type of wastewater that captures and recirculates air that has been previously pumped into the lagoon via a skirt. The system also utilizes an oxygen source to pump oxygen into the waste lagoon or wastewater that can also be recirculated. A manifold of the system is designed to have intakes for both the recirculated air and for the oxygen source.

WATER PURIFICATION APPARATUS USING SOLAR POWER
A water purification apparatus includes a flow-rate regulating tank, an aeration tank, a solar power generation unit, and an air blowing unit. The flow-rate regulating tank changes flow-rate of polluted fluid to constantly discharge. The aeration tank purifies the fluid using microorganisms by contacting the polluted fluid supplied from the flow-rate regulating tank to an air, and includes a floatable panel supporting part and a purifying part connected under the panel supporting part to purify the polluted fluid. The solar power generation unit is supported by the panel supporting part to generate electric power using sunlight. The air blowing unit receives the electric power from the solar power generation unit to supply the air in the aeration tank.
