Coating of a glass sleeve
Disclosed is a method of applying a coating to a glass sleeve with an inner surface and an outer surface, the glass sleeve configured as a part of a solar-receiver tube. Thereby, the coating is solely applied to one of the surfaces of the glass sleeve. Also disclosed is a method of fixing such glass sleeve in an interior of a coating tank, such coating tank and a fixing arrangement for fixing such glass sleeve in an interior of a coating tank.
High Efficiency Light System
An innovative and highly efficient light system is disclosed herein. The light system includes a housing with an inner shroud and an outer shroud, a first light source and a second light source. The inner shroud is disposed within the outer shroud, and both light sources are disposed within the inner shroud. The second light source may produce light and heat. The heat from the second light source may be absorbed by the first light source to enable the first light source to more efficiently produce light. The light system may provide light from both the first light source and the second light source simultaneously. The inner surface of the outer shroud may contain an infrared reflective coating configured to retain the heat produced from the second light source within the housing while still enabling the output of the visible light produced by the first and second light sources.
METHOD FOR SPRAY COATING A SURFACE ATTACHED HYDROGEL
A coated container having reduced nonspecific adsorption of nonspecific targets can have an interior volume surrounded by one or more walls having one or more interior surfaces, and a coating comprising a spray-coated hydrogel layer surface attached to the one or more interior surfaces, the spray-coated hydrogel having surface roughness with surface features with an average features height of less than 20 nm.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MEDICAL INJECTION DEVICE AND MEDICAL INJECTION DEVICE THUS OBTAINED
A method of manufacturing a medical injection device comprising a glass cylinder having an inner surface coated with a coating layer, the cylinder being configured to receive a plunger with sliding engagement includes the steps of providing a coating composition comprising an amount equal to or greater than 92% by weight of polydimethylsiloxane having a kinematic viscosity at room temperature of from 11500 cSt (115 cm.sup.2/s) to 13500 cSt (135 cm.sup.2/s); heating the coating composition to a temperature of from 100 C. to 150 C.; and applying the coating composition heated to said temperature onto the inner surface of the cylinder so as to form a coating layer on the inner surface having an average thickness S, measured by means of optical reflectometry, of from 100 to 250 nm; wherein the coating layer of the inner surface of the cylinder has a thickness standard deviation, equal to or less than 90 nm.
SHARP FIXTURES
The present invention relates to a decorative ceramic or vitreous sink customized with unique designs, themes, logos, pictures, stamps, etc and the manufacturing method of the same. The decorative ceramic or vitreous sink can be used as a personalized fixture in home or as a medium for advertisement and commercialization by way of descriptive images and logos imprinted on the surface of the sink. The material is heated at 200 F. for two hours first, then at 300 F. for two hours and finally at 300 to 400 F. for two hours.
SURFACE-MODIFIED ELECTROSPRAY NEEDLE FOR USE IN MASS SPECTROMETRY
An electrospray needle comprising a coating inside the needle, wherein the coating is a non-conductive and non-ionizable organic material, and in some embodiments comprising a conductive outer coating; methods of making the electrospray needle, systems that use the electrospray needle, methods of detection using the electrospray needle, and a kit that includes the electrospray needle.
Fused quartz crucible for producing silicon crystals, and method for producing a fused quartz crucible
A fused quartz crucible for pulling a single crystal of silicon by the Czochralski technique, has an inner side with an inner layer of fused quartz that forms a surface, the inner layer being provided with a crystallization promoter which on heating of the fused quartz crucible during use, in crystal pulling, causes crystallization of fused quartz to form b-cristobalite, wherein the concentration C of synthetically obtained SiO.sub.2 at a distance d from the surface is greater than the concentration of synthetically obtained SiO.sub.2 at a distance d2 from the surface, where d2 is greater than d. Multiple crystals can be grown while maintaining high crystal quality.
Coating film-attached glass, production method therefor, and modified glass substrate
A coating film-attached glass comprising a glass substrate, and a coating film provided on at least a part of a surface of the glass substrate, in which a region from the surface of the glass substrate on the coating film side to a predetermined depth is a modified layer, and the modified layer has a microcrystalline structure at least in part.
AMMONIUM SULFATE TREATED SYRINGE FOR INCREASED PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION STABILITY
Ammonium sulfate treated prefilled syringes, and kits that include an ammonium sulfate treated prefilled syringe and a pharmaceutical composition comprising an aluminum-sensitive active agent, are described herein. Treating the inner surface of a glass syringe barrel with ammonium sulfate prior to filling the syringe with a desired aqueous diluent, such as water for injection, can limit the amount of aluminum that leach into the aqueous diluent during storage.
Coated glass element
A coated glass container includes: a glass surface; and a coating that coats at least part of the glass surface to form a coated glass surface. The coating includes at least one layer. The coated glass container fulfills the following parameter: leaching of [Na] ions after an alkaline treatment is 10 mg/l or less [Na] ions.
