Method of processing a panel of multilayer tempered glass and article obtained by said method
Method of processing a panel of multilayer tempered glass comprising the steps of: providing a panel of multilayer tempered glass having at least a first and a second plate of tempered glass and an intermediate layer of bonding material interposed between the first and the second sheet of glass to make firmly join together the first and the second glass plate; breaking the first and the second plate of tempered glass so that the panel can be bent; bending the panel until reaching a desired shape in which both said first plate and said second plate are bent; applying to said first plate and to said second plate a hardening substance adapted to stabilize the panel into said desired shape.
AN ARTICLE HAVING ANTI-CONTAMINATION SURFACE AND A METHOD FOR FORMING ANTI-CONTAMINATION SURFACE
An article having an anti-contamination surface, including a substrate; a first region present on a portion of a surface of the substrate and having a lubricating layer formed thereon; and a second region present on at least a portion of a surface of the substrate other than the first region and having an anti-adhesion coating layer formed thereon; and a method for forming an anti-contamination surface on the surface of an article.
System and Method for Improving Windshield Glare
Described is a wiper blade for a windshield of a vehicle configured to apply a reparative material to a surface of the windshield. The wiper blade having a squeegee and wiping lip. The wiping lip having a coating of the uncured reparative material or receiving a coating of the uncured reparative material from a reservoir coupled to the wiping blade. The wiping blade applying the uncured reparative material to a surface of the windshield by wiping the windshield. The uncured reparative material integrating with and curing on a surface of the windshield to form a cured reparative material. The cured reparative material being configured to fill scratches in a surface of the windshield, thereby reducing glare from the windshield.
Anti-glare surface treatment method and articles thereof
A glass article including: at least one anti-glare surface having haze, distinctness-of-image, surface roughness, and uniformity properties, as defined herein. A method of making the glass article includes, for example: depositing deformable particles on at least a portion of a glass surface of the article; causing the deposited deformable particles on the surface to deform and adhere to the surface; and contacting the surface having the adhered particles with an etchant to form the anti-glare surface. A display system that incorporates the glass article, as defined herein, is also disclosed.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A SINTERED LITHIUM DISILICATE GLASS CERAMIC DENTAL RESTORATION AND KIT OF PARTS
The present invention is directed to a process for producing a sintered lithium disilicate glass ceramic dental restoration out of a porous 3-dim article, the process comprising the step of sintering the porous 3-dim article having the shape of a dental restoration with an outer and inner surface to obtain a sintered lithium disilicate ceramic dental restoration, the sintered lithium disilicate glass ceramic dental restoration comprisingSi oxide calculated as SiO2 from 55 to 80 wt.-%, Li oxide calculated as Li2O from 7 to 16 wt.-%, Al oxide calculated as Al2O3 from 1 to 5 wt.-%, andP oxide calculated as P2O5 from 1 to 5 wt.-%, wt.-% with respect to the weight of the dental restoration, the sintering being done under reduced atmospheric pressure conditions, the reduced atmospheric pressure conditions being applied at a temperature above 600 C. The present invention is also directed to a kit of parts comprising a porous 3-dim article having the shape of a dental milling block and a respective instruction of use.
PHOTO-CURABLE LIQUID OPTICALLY CLEAR ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND THE USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a photo-curable liquid optically clear adhesive composition, to a cured adhesive and an article produced therefrom, and to the use thereof.
STRUCTURAL GLASS ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION
In the case of a structural glass element with a plastic-coated glass panel and at least one assembly element attached hereon, the glass panel is coated in particular with a silicone-based elastomer across its entire surface, and the coating at the same time creates an adhesive joint with one section of the assembly element supported on the glass panel.
ARTICLE WITH HARDCOAT AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
Article comprising a substrate having a first major surface, wherein the major surface has an emissivity not greater than 0.2 and an exposed hardcoat on the first major surface, the hardcoat comprising binder, wherein the hardcoat has a thickness less than 200 nanometers and has a scratch rating of not greater than 1 as determined by the Linear Abrasion Test in the Examples. Articles described herein are useful, for example, for sun control window films having insulative properties. Such films are applied on the interior or exterior surfaces of automotive windows or building fenestrations
Process for Producing a Sintered Lithium Disilicate Glass Ceramic Dental Restoration and Kit of Parts
The present invention is directed to a process for producing a sintered lithium disilicate glass ceramic dental restoration out of a porous 3-dim article, the process comprising the step of sintering the porous 3-dim article having the shape of a dental restoration with an outer and inner surface to obtain a sintered lithium disilicate ceramic dental restoration, the sintered lithium disilicate glass ceramic dental restoration comprising Si oxide calculated as SiO2 from 55 to 80 wt.-%, Li oxide calculated as Li2O from 7 to 16 wt.-%, Al oxide calculated as Al2O3 from 1 to 5 wt.-%, and P oxide calculated as P2O5 from 1 to 5 wt.-%, wt.-% with respect to the weight of the dental restoration, the sintering being done under reduced atmospheric pressure conditions, the reduced atmospheric pressure conditions being applied at a temperature above 600 C.
The present invention is also directed to a kit of parts comprising a porous 3-dim article having the shape of a dental milling block and a respective instruction of use.
Strengthening Glass Containers
A glass container and related methods of manufacturing a glass container. A solution having a composition including a silane, a solvent, a catalyst, and water, is applied to an exterior glass surface of the glass container, at an application temperature between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius, such that the solution at least partially fills the surface imperfections to provide a room-temperature-curable cold-end coating on the glass container. Then, the applied solution is allowed to cure on the exterior glass surface of the glass container, at a curing temperature between 5 and 40 degrees Celsius.
