Dishwasher and controlling method therefor
The present invention relates to a dishwasher for washing the dishes or the cooking utensils by spraying washing water and steam and a controlling method therefor. The method of controlling a dishwasher includes: a steam supply step of supplying washing water to the sump from an external water source; and a steam generation step of maintaining a water level of the washing water existing inside the washing pump at a certain water level or higher and heating the washing water.
Dishwasher with heat pump
A dishwasher includes: a dishwasher body including a tub that defines a washing space and a sump disposed vertically below the tub and configured to accommodate washing water; a heat pump including a compressor, a condenser, an expansion apparatus, and an evaporator; a drain storage unit connected to a drain pipe of the sump and configured to receive washing water discharged from the sump; a drain pipe open-close valve that opens and closes the drain pipe; and a controller that controls the heat pump and the drain pipe open-close valve. The evaporator is configured to exchange heat with the drain storage unit, and the controller controls the drain pipe open-close valve to open the drain pipe to move washing water of the sump to the drain storage unit when the sump is drained.
DISHWASHER WITH CONDENSING DRYING SYSTEM
A dish treating appliance for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation can comprise a tub defining a treating chamber. The treating chamber can fluidly couple to condenser having an inlet, an outlet, and a condensing passage. The condenser can further comprise multiple ambient air inlets to mix humid air drawn from the treating chamber with ambient air within the condenser. The condenser can further integrate a water inlet with a condenser outlet, such that a water supply and condensed liquid can be provided to the treating chamber through the same opening.
HEAT PUMP DISHWASHER
The present invention relates to a dishwasher comprising a body; a heat pump that is disposed inside the body, that provides the heating of the water to be used in the washing step and that has a first heat exchanger drawing heat from the ambient air, a second heat exchanger transferring the heat received from the first heat exchanger to the wash water and a compressor fluidly connected to the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger, realizing the refrigerant cycle by compressing and directing the refrigerant leaving the first heat exchanger to the second heat exchanger, and a drip tray that is disposed immediately under the first heat exchanger, wherein the water condensing on the first heat exchanger is collected.
LOCK AND HOME APPLIANCE HAVING THE SAME
A lock and a home appliance having the same are disclosed. The lock includes a holder provided at one selected from between the cabinet and the door, a housing provided at the other selected from between the cabinet and the door, a first stopper provided at the housing, a fastening unit separably coupled to the first stopper so as to be coupled to the holder when separated from the first stopper, an actuation unit configured to reciprocate in the housing, the actuation unit being configured to be moved away from the introduction port in the state of contacting the holder when the door is moved so as to close the introduction port, the actuation unit being configured to separate the fastening unit from the first stopper while being moved away from the introduction port, a first elastic member for providing force necessary to move the fastening unit away from the introduction port when the fastening unit is separated from the first stopper, a second elastic member for providing force necessary to move the actuation unit toward the introduction port, and an actuation unit lock for fixing the actuation unit to the housing when not in contact with the door and releasing coupling between the actuation unit and the housing when in contact with the door.
BOWL-TYPE DISH WASHER
The present disclosure provides a bowl-type dish washer comprising: a body; a water tank in the body; a water supply coupled to the water tank; a rotation driver in the body; a rotation shaft coupled to the driver; a cleaning unit removably coupled to the rotation shaft; a curved plate coupled to the body at a top thereof; and a removable cover removably coupled to the curved plate, wherein the removable cover has multiple bowl-type dish supporters formed on an inner side thereof, wherein the multiple bowl-type dish supporters have different sizes based on the size of the bowl-type dishes, wherein the removable cover has a horizontal partition to define a detergent receiving space.
Dynamic Fluid Heater And Washing Appliance
A heating system for heating a target fluid may include an intermediate liquid circulation path for holding an intermediate liquid and a target fluid flow path for conveying the target fluid, where the target fluid flow path and the circulation path are separate from one another but thermally communicate with one another via a heat exchanger. The intermediate liquid may be heated by a heater and circulated in the intermediate liquid circulation path by a pump. A ratio of the maximum heat output of the heater to the volume of the intermediate liquid circulation path may be at least about 5 Watts/cm.sup.3. The thermal mass of the intermediate liquid may be 0.3 times the thermal mass of the target fluid or less. The heating system may be utilized in a washing appliance such as a dishwasher, where the target fluid is the wash water used in such appliance.
Pump with integrated heating element
A pump for a dishwasher is configured as an impeller pump having a central water inflow to a rotating impeller for conveying the water in the radial direction out of the impeller into a pump chamber which surrounds the impeller in a ring-like manner and has a heated pump chamber wall on its outer side. Here, the pump has an outlet in the end region of the pump chamber at an axial spacing from the impeller. Heating elements which have a decreasing power output with regard to the area power output in the axial direction of the pump toward the outlet are arranged on the pump chamber wall. An input of energy into the pump chamber can thus be varied and in the process adapted depending on a turbulent or laminar flow.
DISHWASHER WITH HYDRAULICALLY POWERED WASH SYSTEM
A dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber, a liquid supply conduit, and a rotatable sprayer that is rotatable about a rotation axis and has an inlet and multiple nozzles collectively forming an outlet. The dishwasher further includes a hydraulic drive fluidly coupling the liquid supply conduit to the rotatable sprayer. The hydraulic drive is mechanically coupled to the rotatable sprayer.
METHODS OF OPERATING DISHWASHER WITH ILLUMINABLE USER INTERFACE
A method of operating a dish treating appliance includes a user interface disposed along the top edge of a door for selectively opening and closing access to a treating chamber. The user interface can be illuminated and operating the user interface can include operating a user input mode when the door is open and a status mode when the door is closed.
