Protective coating
A cementitious protective coating material including a mixture of water, one or more of silicon dioxide/sodium silica pozzolans, anhydrous or hydrous sodium or potassium metasilicate; a rheology enhancing admixture; sodium tetraborate, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid, or boric acid; and a micro-fiber.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL GYPSUM-BASED MORTAR AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
Disclosed are a multifunctional gypsum-based mortar and a method of making the same, where the gypsum-based mortar includes 30-40 parts by weight of a gypsum; 30-40 parts by weight of a diatomite; 0.5-3.0 parts by weight of nano TiO.sub.2; and 30-40 parts by weight of a fine aggregate. The gypsum-based mortar provided herein can not only has good adsorption to the formaldehyde based on the hydration structure of gypsum-based cementing material and the diatomite structure, but also decompose the formaldehyde adsorbed by the porous structure, ensuring long-term and effective adsorption to formaldehyde.
Porous molded body in the form of an insulating plaster layer or an insulating panel
Insulating plasters and insulated molded panels produced by molding without input of heat contain closed or open celled light weight bodies or mixtures thereof, and at least one binder composed of composite particles containing both an organic polymer and from 15 to 50 weight percent of inorganic solid.
Cementitious Composition With High Bond Strength To Both Asphalt And Cement Based Materials
A hydratable cement composition which will bond to both asphalt and cementitious substrates is supplied for the repair of various surfaces. The composition comprises of a combination of Portland cement, calcium sulfoaluminate cement or calcium aluminosilicate, and an alkali metal salt activated pozzolonic powder, wherein the Portland cement content of the hydratable portion of the composition is greater than 20%. The composition is free from latex bonding agents and calcium aluminate. The composition is mixed with water to form a typical cement, mortar, or concrete consistency, placed and allowed to cure. The result is a self-adhering patch to damaged surfaces. The hydratable cement composition may also be used to fabricate items of original construction by casting into molds or forms.
Cementitious Composition With High Bond Strength To Both Asphalt And Cement Based Materials
A cementitious composition of one embodiment, according to the present teaching, includes, but is not limited to, a Portland cement, and at least one other cement from a group comprising, but not limited to, calcium sulfoaluminate cement, a calcium aluminosilicate cement, and calcium aluminate, wherein the Portland cement has a content of at least 20 percent based on the total weight of the non-Portland hydratable cement powder, wherein the cementitious composition bonds to asphalt.
Dry construction composition which can be wet-sprayed by means of screw pump and comprising a binder and a bio-based filler-preparation and uses of such a composition
A dry construction composition that is easily wet-sprayed by a screw pump to form an insulating and mechanically resistant material after hardening comprises: at least one binder that includes at least one primary binder comprising lime and/or at least one source of alumina and/or at least one source of calcium sulfate, at least one water retention agent, and preferably at least one surfactant; and at least one plant-based bio-based filler based on sunflower stalk and/or corn stalk and/or rape stalk, having a Bulk Density (BD) in kg/m.sup.3 that is less than 110. The ratio of the binder to the filler is between 2 and 9 in liters/kg. The composition can be mixed with water in a ratio of water/binder that is greater than or equal to 0.8 to form a wet composition. The wet composition can be sprayed onto a horizontal or vertical substrate or molded to a desired shape.
GEOPOLYMERIC FOAM COMPRISING TRIPLE-LAYERED STRUCTURE FOR PROTECTING A SUBSTRATE
A structure for protecting a substrate. The structure comprises an inner tie coat layer which can bond to the substrate, a geopolymer foam layer, and an outer protective layer. The geopolymer foam layer is the reaction product of a mixture comprising an aluminosilicate source, an alkali activator, reinforcing fibres, and a plurality of microparticles.
Construction chemical formulation
The present invention relates to a quick and low-stress setting chemical formulation for construction, containing at least one binding agent on the basis of calcium sulfate, at least an ettringite-forming agent, at least one activator, at least one filler, at least one redispersable dispersion powder and optionally additives and to the use of the chemical formulation for construction for producing thin-layered balancing masses, self running and solid fillers, screed binding agents or screed mortars, tile adhesive mortars, jointing mortars and sealing sludges.
METHYL-ETHYL-HYDROXYALKYL-CELLULOSE AND ITS USE IN BUILDING COMPOSITIO
A methyl ethyl hydroxyalkyl cellulose (MEHEC), process for making the MEHEC, and a powder containing the MEHEC are disclosed. The MEHEC is provided with a DSmethyl from 1.5 to 2.5, a DSethyl from 0.005 to 0.15, and a MSalkylene-oxide from 0.005 to 0.2. The methyl ethyl hydroxyalkyl cellulose optionally includes an anti-oxidant. The MEHEC optionally does not have a combination of a DSmethyl of 2.2 or 1.8, a DSethyl of 0.05 or 0.1, and a MSalkylene-oxide of 0.1 and does not have a combination of a DSmethyl of 2.5 or 2.0, a DSethyl of 0.1, and a MSalkylene-oxide of 0.05. The MEHEC has very good biostability and is suitable for use in the building industry.
