A dishwasher includes a tub with an access opening to a treating chamber, a sump, at least one sprayer emitting liquid into the treating chamber, a pump, a conduit fluidly coupling the sump to the pump and the pump to the at least one sprayer, thereby defining a recirculation circuit through which the liquid sprayed into the treating chamber collects in the sump and is pumped back to the at least one sprayer. The dishwasher also includes a filter assembly in the sump for filtering the liquid in the recirculation circuit including a cleaning element and a dome shaped displacement body positioned adjacent the filter wall for raising a liquid level within the filter and configured to fill more than 50% of a percentage of a volume of the filter.

An automatic dishwashing machine comprises a washing chamber (3) housing a basket (4) for supporting one or more dishes to be washed, the basket (4) being rotatable about a predetermined rotation axis (R), motor means (5) associated with the basket (4) to drive it into rotation around the rotation axis (R), supply means (6) of one or more steam jets in said washing chamber (3). The motor means (5) are adapted to transmit to said basket (4) an oscillating motion with predetermined oscillation amplitude (β), said steam jet supply means (6) comprising one or more nozzles (9) mutually aligned along a substantially axial direction and adapted to direct respective steam jets along a direction inclined with respect to the vertical.

An automatic dishwashing machine comprises a washing chamber (3) housing a basket (4) for supporting one or more dishes to be washed, the basket (4) being rotatable about a predetermined rotation axis (R), motor means (5) associated with the basket (4) to drive it into rotation around the rotation axis (R), supply means (6) of one or more steam jets in said washing chamber (3). A prewashing system includes a dish recognizing unit that recognizes a dish that is an object of prewashing executed prior to main washing, a first prewashing unit that performs prewashing of the dish that is the object of prewashing by a flow of water, a second prewashing unit that performs prewashing of the dish that is the object of prewashing by a washing tool, a prewashing method deciding unit that decides a prewashing method using at least one of the first prewashing unit and the second prewashing unit, on the basis of a form of the dish that is the object of prewashing, which is recognized by the dish recognizing unit, and a prewashing executing unit that executes prewashing of the dish that is the object of prewashing, by the prewashing method decided by the prewashing method deciding unit.

A dishwasher (100) for washing dirty articles comprising: a rotating rack (1) configured to rotate counter-clockwise at a user-defined speed of 1 round per minute or 1/2 round per minute; a spray system (104) configured to dispense a jet stream of high speed water using a plurality of nozzles (106a-106n) from the bottom as well as top of the dirty articles placed on the rotating rack (1); a washing chamber (1b) that may be designed to enable washing of the dirty articles placed upon the rotating rack (1) using the spray system (104), wherein the washing chamber (1b) uses recirculating water; and a rinsing chamber (1c) that may be designed to rinse the washed articles with clean water supplied directly from a house water source; wherein a partition wall (29) between the washing chamber (1b) and the rinsing chamber (1c) prevents splash of water used in the respective chamber.
