Medical imaging distribution system and device

Improved systems and devices for medical imaging distribution are provided. A medical imaging order may be received from a medical facility that includes medical imaging. A configuration may be selected and applied based on a body site and an urgency field associated with the order that defines queueing rules for the medical imaging order. Utilization factors for queues associated with radiologists may also be determined. The configuration and the utilization factors may be used to determine a subset of queues associated with a subset of radiologists. The subset of queues may be prioritized based on certain requirements, such as how many medical imaging reports a particular radiologist is required to review, how many medical imaging reports are required to be allocated to a particular radiologist, and the like. The highest prioritized queue may be selected and the medical imaging order may be transmitted to the radiologist associated with that queue.

Systems and methods for remote dental monitoring

An intraoral imaging system comprising an intraoral adapter. The intraoral adapter may be operably coupled to a mobile device. The intraoral adapter may comprise an elongated housing comprising a viewing channel. The viewing channel may define a field of view of an intraoral region of a subject's mouth for intraoral scanning using a camera of a mobile device. The elongated housing may comprise a flange that is positioned outside of the field of view of the intraoral region of the subject's mouth. The intraoral imaging system may further comprise an image processing unit configured to (i) process a plurality of intraoral images and/or videos captured using the camera of the mobile device, and (ii) determine a dental condition of the subject based at least in part on the plurality of intraoral images and/or videos.

URETER DETECTION USING WAVEBAND-SELECTIVE IMAGING

Selective reflection of light by ureters and by tissue around the ureters is used to safely and efficiently image the ureters. In one aspect, a plurality of surgical site scenes is captured. Each of the plurality of surgical site scenes is captured from reflected light having a different light spectrum. The plurality of captured surgical site scenes is analyzed to identify ureter tissue in the captured surgical site scenes. A surgical site scene is displayed on a display device. The displayed surgical site scene has ureter tissue artificially highlighted.

Endoscopes having a tip section with viewing elements coupled to a CMOS image sensor and/or a CCD image sensor for transforming light captured by the viewing element into digital and/or analog signals are described. A main connector is coupled with the tip section for transmitting the signals to a main control unit of the endoscope. The main connector includes a pad for transmitting digital signals provided by the CMOS image sensor to a push pin probe in a receptacle of the main control unit. The main connector also include another interface for transmitting analog signals to the main control unit.

CANNULA ASSEMBLY WITH DEPLOYABLE CAMERA

The present disclosure provides a cannula assembly having a tube with an internal lumen, a proximal end portion and a distal end portion configured for insertion into a patient. The cannula assembly further includes a housing rotatably coupled to the tube between a closed position and one or more open positions. The housing contains an electronic component comprising an image transmission device, such as a camera, for collecting and receiving images of the surgical site. The housing is adapted to provide the image transmission device with a longitudinal or forward view when the housing is in the closed position and a transverse view (i.e., offset from the longitudinal axis) when the housing is in one of the open positions. The housing is disposed distal to the proximal end portion and proximal to the distal end portion of the tube to protect the image transmission device as the distal end portion creates an incision and/or passes through an existing incision in the patient.

Medical software tools platform utilizes a surgical display to provide access to specific medical software tools, such as medically-oriented applications or widgets, that can assist those in the operating room, such as a surgeon or surgical team, with a surgery. In particular, an optical sensor located within an endoscopic camera may register the momentary change in the optical characteristics reflected from a tissue surface and in turn transmit the information to a medical image processing system which can also receive patient heart rate data and display relevant anomalies. Changes in various spectral components and the speed at which they change in relation to a source of stimulus (heartbeat, etc.) may indicate the arrival of blood, contrast agents or oxygen absorption. Combinations of these may indicate various states of differing disease or margins of tumors, and so forth. Also, changes in temperatures and the speed of change may indicate subsurface anomalies.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR 3D SCENE RECONSTRUCTION WITH DUAL COMPLEMENTARY PATTERN ILLUMINATION
20170352161 · 2017-12-07 ·

An apparatus, system and process for utilizing dual complementary pattern illumination of a scene when performing depth reconstruction of the scene are described. The method may include projecting a first reference image and a complementary second reference image on a scene, and capturing first image data and second image data including the first reference image and the complementary second reference image on the scene. The method may also include identifying features of the first reference image from features of the complementary second reference image. Furthermore, the method may include performing three dimensional (3D) scene reconstruction for image data captured by the imaging device based on the identified features in the first reference image.
