Pediatric nasal endoscope, gastroscope and aerodigestive scope
TNE provides the opportunity to make the care of children with EoE and other gastrointestinal or aerodigestive conditions safer, more efficient, and less costly while simultaneously advancing our understanding of the pathophysiology and natural course of this condition. A pediatric endoscope was developed to facilitate TNE in children with EoE. The pediatric endoscope (combined gastroscope, bronchoscope, laryngoscope) includes a 3-4 mm flexible, fiber optic endoscope that allows HD TV viewing with the head of a pediatric bronchoscope that allows four way tip deflection, a scope stiffening apparatus to minimize the endoscopes flexibility when needed, a foot and hand activation to allow air/water insufflation and image/video capture, a light source, 2 mm biopsy channel.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A SURGICAL ROBOTIC ASSEMBLY IN AN INTERNAL BODY CAVITY
Methods and systems for performing a surgery within an internal cavity of a subject are provided herein. An example method for controlling a robotic assembly of a surgical robotic system includes, while at least a portion of the robotic assembly is disposed in an interior cavity of a subject, receiving a first control mode selection input from an operator and changing a current control mode of the surgical robotic system to a first control mode in response to the first control mode selection input; while the surgical robotic system is in the first control mode, receiving a first control input from hand controllers; in response to receiving the first control input, changing a position and/or an orientation of: at least a portion of the camera assembly, of at least a portion of the robotic arm assembly, or both, while maintaining a stationary position of instrument tips of the end effectors disposed at distal ends of the robotic arms.
ENDOSCOPE AND METHOD OF USE
Disclosed herein are endoscope assemblies, and more particularly endoscopes with a working channel for use in hysteroscopy, and methods of use thereof. Devices and systems related to an integrated hysteroscopic treatment system including an endoscopic viewing system, a fluid management system, a resecting device and a controller for operating all the systems. Also disclosed are integrated hysteroscopic treatment systems that include an endoscopic viewing system, a fluid management system, a resecting device and a controller for operating all the systems.
AUTOCLAVABLE KEYPAD WITH HAPTIC FEEDBACK FOR VIDEO ENDOSCOPES
A keypad includes a support, a snap disk on a first side of the support transformable from a released state to a loaded state, a cover forming a seal over the first side, a pocket in the cover, a magnet and a plunger disposed in the pocket, the plunger adapted to engage and transform the snap disk to the loaded state, a magnetic field sensor on a second side of the support, the second side opposite the first side and logic circuitry adapted to obtain a value of a strength of a magnetic field from the sensor, compare the value against a predetermined threshold value that corresponds at least approximately to the strength of a magnetic field, and when the plunger has transformed the snap disk to the loaded state and the value reaches or exceeds the threshold value, output a signal indicating that a key press occurred.
Hyperspectral videostroboscopy of vocal cords
Hyperspectral videostroboscopy imaging is described. A system includes an emitter for emitting pulses of electromagnetic radiation and an image sensor comprising a pixel array for sensing reflected electromagnetic radiation. The system includes a controller configured to cause the emitter to emit the pulses of electromagnetic radiation at a strobing frequency determined based on a vibration frequency of vocal cords of a user. The system is such that at least a portion of the pulses of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the emitter comprises electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength from about 513 nm to about 545 nm, from about 565 nm to about 585 nm, or from about 900 nm to about 1000 nm.
Medical observation system, apparatus for controlling the same, and method for controlling the same
A medical observation system includes a multi-link structure in which a plurality of links is mutually coupled by joint parts, a medical observation apparatus attached on the multi-link structure, a control part configured to control the multi-link structure or the medical observation apparatus, and a user interface part by which a user inputs an instruction to change a visual field of the medical observation apparatus. When a user instructs to move a visual field of the medical observation apparatus vertically or horizontally, to rotate an oblique-viewing endoscope, or to change a magnification of the visual field via the user interface part, the control part controls the multi-link structure or the medical observation apparatus.
Information processing apparatus and information processing method
Provided is an information processing apparatus that includes a movement history acquiring section that acquires a movement history, based on an absolute coordinate, of a gazing point of a first user that gazes at a display region, in which the absolute coordinate is in a three-dimensional space displayed in the display region. The information processing apparatus further includes a display controller that controls a display unit that displays the display region to visualize, to a second user, the movement history of the gazing point. This allows the gazing point of the first user to be shared with the second user without hiding a target object.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING AND DISPLAYING VIDEO STREAMS
A method performed by a video controller. The method receives a first video stream captured by an endoscope of a surgical system, and receives a second video stream that comprises surgical data. The method displays the second video stream superimposed above an area of the first video stream, and determines that the second video stream is to cease being superimposed. Responsive to determining that the second video stream is to cease being superimposed, the method continues to display the first video stream.
ENDOSCOPE WITH INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNITS AND/OR HAPTIC INPUT CONTROLS
An endoscope having an insertion tube with a distal optical module and a releasable handle. In a semi-robotic embodiment, the handle comprises haptic controllers and a computer configured for steering and/or adjusting physical properties of the insertion tube in response to one or more command inputs from the haptic controllers. The computer may also convert image data received from the optical module into two-dimensional images displayable on a monitor. The endoscope may have inertial measurement units (IMUs) for providing data to the computer for creating a digital three-dimensional image representation of an anatomy model and/or for facilitating handling properties of the endoscope.
MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM, DIAGNOSIS ASSISTANCE METHOD, AND PROGRAM
There are provided a medical image processing apparatus, an endoscope system, a diagnosis assistance method, and a program capable of coping with an erroneous determination while utilizing an observation completion determination in which image processing is used and of suppressing oversight of an observation target part by a doctor. The medical image processing apparatus includes at least one processor. The at least one processor acquires a medical image; makes, on the basis of the medical image, an observation completion determination as to whether observation is completed for a target part; performs display control for causing a determined result of the observation completion determination to be displayed on a display device, receives a user input including an instruction for correcting display content indicating the determined result of the observation completion determination, and causes corrected content based on the user input to be reflected in the display.
