ORIFICE INSPECTION SYSTEM
A system for inspecting a patient's orifice (especially the ear, nose or throat), to components of the system, and to methods of inspecting a patient's orifice. In one embodiment, the orifice inspection system includes: an orifice inspection device for illuminating a patient's orifice; and an image capture device for capturing a photograph of the patient's orifice as illuminated by the orifice inspection device; wherein the orifice inspection device is mountable relative to the image capture device, or wherein the image capture device is mounted on the orifice inspection device.
ENDOSCOPE ATTACHMENT ACCESSORY WITH TELEMETRIC FUNCTION FOR MEASURING DISTANCES AND SIZES ON INTERNAL SURFACES OF THE HUMAN BODY
A biomedical device, an endoscope attachment accessory with telemetric function that allows to make measurements in internal surfaces of the body; the endoscope attachment accessory with telemetric function for measuring distances and sizes on internal surfaces of the human body comprising three modules, an image signal processing module for calculating distances, areas and volumes, a laser control module and an alignment module, all contained in a single housing.
IMAGE CAPTURE APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURE METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An image capture apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes an image generation unit, an edge detection unit, and a color control unit. The image generation unit generates a captured image by capturing a subject. The edge detection unit detects an edge portion included in the generated captured image. The color control unit controls a color of a highlighted display for highlighting the edge portion for each detected edge portion based on color information about the edge portion in the captured image.
Portable and ergonomic endoscope with disposable cannula
An endoscopic system includes a single-use portion and a multiple-use portion. The two portions can be mated and un-mated. The single-use portion includes an elongated cannula that has a bendable section near its distal end providing a “steerable” distal tip. The distal tip includes LED illumination and an imaging module that feeds live video to a display screen forming which forms part of the multiple-use portion. Ergonomically designed steering control and significant portions of the steering structure reside in the multiple-use portion. The cannula is configured to rotate, which further expands the field of view when combined with steering deflection along a single axis. Some embodiments, include motorized distal tip deflection and/or omni-directional tip deflection.
CLUTCH SYSTEM FOR FLEXIBLE ENDOSCOPES
An endoscopic system may include an endoscope including a handle and an elongate shaft extending distally therefrom. The handle may include a non-motorized and non-ratcheting actuation mechanism configured to articulate a distal tip portion of the elongate shaft. The distal tip portion may be articulatable in response to a manually applied force exerted upon the actuation mechanism. Removal of the manually applied force may lock the distal tip portion in its then-current configuration. The non-motorized and non-ratcheting actuation mechanism may include a clutch mechanism actuatable in response to an electrical signal generated in response to sensing a user-applied force to the actuating mechanism by a strain gauge.
Image capture apparatus and image capture method
An image capture apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes an image generation unit, an edge detection unit, and a color control unit. The image generation unit generates a captured image by capturing a subject. The edge detection unit detects an edge portion included in the generated captured image. The color control unit controls a color of a highlighted display for highlighting the edge portion for each detected edge portion based on color information about the edge portion in the captured image.
ENDOSCOPE AND SUCTION-TARGET-OBJECT SUCTION METHOD
An insertion device includes an insertion portion having an outer peripheral surface and configured to be inserted into a subject, and a suction pipeline provided on the outer peripheral surface of the insertion portion. The suction pipeline is switchable from a first state to a second state and the suction pipeline is configured to maintain the second state. In the first state, a distal end of the suction pipeline is folded, and in the second state, the distal end of the suction pipeline is unfolded.
Lavage and Cleansing System and Method
A fluid delivery system may be positioned relative to a scope to assist in cleaning a scope and/or lavaging a portion of a subject during a procedure. The fluid delivery system may include a sleeve positioned over a portion of a scope. The sleeve may include passages and/or define passages relative to the scope.
ORAL IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE AND ORAL IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
According to embodiments, disclosed are a device and method for processing an intraoral image. The disclosed method of processing an intraoral image includes displaying the intraoral image based on a scan region of interest having a first size, detecting a predetermined event, based on detecting the predetermined event, adjusting the size of the scan region of interest from the first size to a second size, and displaying the intraoral image based on the scan region of interest having the adjusted second size.
ENDOSCOPE AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An endoscope comprising an insertion section including a distal end portion, a distal end opening in a distal end surface of a distal end portion, a side opening in a side surface of the distal end portion, a suction channel located in the insertion section and extending proximally from the distal end portion, and a valve switchable between an open state and a closed state. When a first suctioning flow through the distal end opening is less than a minimum suctioning flow, the valve is in the open state and a second suctioning flow through the side opening is present, and when the first suctioning flow is more than the minimum suctioning flow, the valve is in the closed state and the second suctioning flow is absent.
