Control device, medical device, and medical device system
The present disclosure relates to a control device, a medical device, and a medical device system that enable to provide a user who tries to connect the medical device to the control device with user support information including a result of compatibility determination between the devices. A control device according to one aspect of the present disclosure is provided with a connector joint to which a connector unit provided on a cable extending from a medical device is connected, a communication unit that performs radio communication with the connector unit by proximity radio communication, and a notification unit that notifies a user of user support information based on information from the medical device received by the communication unit. The present disclosure is applicable to an endoscopic surgical system, for example.
Systems and methods for credit-based usage of surgical instruments and components thereof
Systems and methods for credit-based usage of surgical instruments include one or more surgical instruments having associated therewith a usage amount, a pre-determined maximum usage amount, and an available usage credit amount that is less than the pre-determined maximum usage amount. The systems implement and the methods include comparing the usage amount to the pre-determined maximum usage amount and inhibiting further use of the at least one reusable component when the usage amount is equal to the pre-determined maximum usage amount, and identifying the available usage credit amount and inhibiting further use of the at least one reusable component when there is no available usage credit remaining.
Single use laryngoscope handle for use in dual component laryngoscope assembly
Single use laryngoscope handle for use in an ISO 7376 compatible dual component laryngoscope assembly with an illumination arrangement. The laryngoscope handle includes a plastic hand grip, a plastic end cap, and at least one plastic frangible member for engaging a hand grip and an end cap in a pre-actuated position of an end cap which is broken on application of a relatively minor manual detachment force to the end cap, thereby precluding subsequent use of the laryngoscope handle.
ENDOSCOPE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ENDOSCOPE DEVICE, MANAGEMENT DEVICE FOR MANAGING ENDOSCOPE DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANAGING ENDOSCOPE DEVICE
An endoscope management system that manages deterioration of an endoscope device includes: at least one endoscope device; and a management device configured to be connected to a processor of the endoscope device such that the management device is able to perform mutual communication with the processor. The endoscope device includes a video scope and a processor, the video scope being configured to capture an image of a subject, and the processor including an image signal processing unit configured to execute white balance adjustment processing, using an image of the subject captured by the video scope. The endoscope device includes a control unit configured to transmit, in response to the execution of the white balance adjustment processing, monitoring-target subject images acquired through the white balance adjustment processing, to the management device. The management device includes a memory configured to record the monitoring-target subject images, and a main management unit.
Endoscope insertion and removal detection system
A system for determining elapsed time for a surgical procedure conducted using an endoscope is disclosed. The system may be configured to determine elapsed time for management overseeing operating rooms to determine performance metrics of the operating room such as, but not limited to, operating room consistency and frequency of unusual procedure times to assess operating room efficiency. The system may include determining insertion of an endoscope into a patient and determining removal of the endoscope from a patient. The system may then generate an elapsed surgery time based upon the insertion time of the endoscope into the patient and the removal time of the endoscope from the patient.
LARYNGOSCOPE WITH CAMERA ATTACHMENT
The invention relates to medical devices for carrying out internal examination, such as laryngoscopes. The laryngoscope is provided with a camera element within a channel inside the blade.
Serialization of single-use endoscopes
A system, device and method for serializing and authorizing a single use imaging device are provided. In one embodiment, the invention provides a single use imaging device comprising a memory having a stored code that includes a unique serial identifier. In another embodiment, the invention provides a system for authorizing a single use imaging device comprising a single use imaging device with an image of a verification object that includes a serial identifier uniquely associated with the device, a control unit capable of electronically receiving the verification object image, a decoder capable of extracting a serial identifier from the verification object image, a database of authorized serial identifiers, and means for determining if the single use imaging device is authorized.
ENDOSCOPE FIELD STOP ENCODING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An endoscopic camera system has an endoscope having a field stop encoded with endoscope information; a camera head coupleable to the endoscope, the camera head generating image data including the endoscope information; and a camera control unit coupleable to the camera head to receive image data from the camera head; and wherein the camera control unit is configured to analyze the endoscope information to identify the endoscope coupled to the camera head.
