Fluid supply device for endoscope
The present invention relates to a fluid supply device for an endoscope, including: a liquid supply unit for supplying liquids to the endoscope; a gas supply unit for supplying gases to the endoscope; and a control unit for controlling operations of the liquid supply unit and the gas supply unit, wherein the control unit includes: a foot switch located on the floor of an operating room to receive control commands on the operations of the liquid supply unit and the gas supply unit from a surgeon who uses the endoscope; and a controller for selectively operating the liquid supply unit and the gas supply unit according to the control commands received.
INSERTABLE ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT FOR TISSUE REMOVAL
An improved flexible endoscopic instrument to precisely and efficiently obtains samples of flat polyps and multiple polyps from a patient by debriding one or more polyps and retrieving the debrided polyps without having to alternate between using a separate cutting tool and a separate sample retrieving tool and may be used with an endoscope. In one aspect, the cutting tool is coupled to a flexible torque coil or torque rope that is configured to transfer rotational energy from a powered actuator through the length of the endoscope onto the cutting tool.
Ear ailment diagnostic device and method
An ear ailment diagnostic device generally comprises a pair of earpieces, which both further comprise a light source, a magnification lens, an air conduction channel and a miniature camera. The earpieces may optionally comprise a thermometer and/or tympanometer. Each earpiece is coupled to an air conduction tube, an insufflator and an electrical wiring/data tube which is coupled to a computer. The insufflator may be manually, electronically, or battery powered. In the preferred embodiment the computer comprises a smart phone with data processing capability and wireless communication capability. Any data sent from the device can then be interpreted and diagnosed in a remote location so that an accurate treatment is prescribed.
Insertion apparatus and operation section of insertion apparatus
An insertion apparatus includes: a tube in which a water feeding communication hole opens on an outer peripheral surface of the tube; a tube connector in which a water feeding branch conduit which allows an inner surface of a tube insertion hole to communicate with an outside is formed, and a second stopper portion which protrudes toward the inside of the tube insertion hole is formed; an O ring which is positioned by contacting with the second stopper portion; a spacer which is positioned by contacting with the O ring, and in which a communication hole which allows an inner surface side and an outer surface side of a wall portion to communicate with each other is formed; and an O ring which is positioned by contacting with the spacer.
DETACHABLE ENDOSCOPE SHAFT
Some implementations of the disclosure are directed to detachable endoscope shafts assemblies including detachable endoscope shafts. In one implementation, an endoscope assembly comprises: an endoscope housing comprising a distal connector including first circuitry configured to receive one or more image signals or supply power from the endoscope housing; and a detachable endoscope shaft comprising: a distal segment configured to be inserted in a patient cavity; an attachment segment proximal to the distal segment, the attachment segment configured to be removably coupled to an instrument or adapter; and a proximal connector configured to removably and electrically couple to the distal connector, the proximal connector including second circuitry configured to electrically couple to the first circuitry.
Disposable video laryngoscope with fluid spray system
A disposable video laryngoscope includes a novel internal liquid jet spray. This laryngoscope is designed so that the user may utilize either the video mode in which the image is displayed on an external screen, or the device may be used in the same manner as a direct laryngoscope. If the device is used in video mode, a Light Emitting Diode (LED) is placed within a camera housing so as to prevent or reduce fogging of the lens. The device includes an internal spray mechanism that may receive liquid through a luer-connection interface such as is used with syringes or IV tubing systems and that directs a spray onto a fogged or occluded lens to restore vision.
Endoscope Comprising a Y-connector Having a Curved Instrument Insertion Channel
An endoscope including a handle and an insertion cord. The handle includes a Y-connector having: a first branch/socket having a first opening from which a first channel extends; a second branch/socket having a second opening from which a second channel extends; and a third branch/socket having a third opening, wherein the first channel and the second channel join each other in a third joined channel and the third joined channel extends inside the third branch or socket towards the third opening. The first channel and the third joined channel form together an instrument insertion channel of the Y-connector. The first channel is a curved channel having a curvature at least in sections inside the first branch or socket and/or the third joined channel is a curved channel having a curvature at least in sections inside the third branch or socket.
INTEGRATED CONTAINER AND TUBE SET FOR FLUID DELIVERY WITH AN ENDOSCOPE
This disclosure relates generally to a container and tube set and methods for fluid delivery, and particularly an integrated container and tube set suitable for use with an endoscope to supply liquids and/or gases to the endoscope. The integrated container and tubes may include a container (e.g., water reservoir) containing a fluid and a gas, and a plurality of tubes integrally formed with the container. The integrated container may include an irrigation supply tube having a first lumen in fluid communication with the fluid, a lens wash supply tube having a second lumen in fluid communication with the fluid, a gas supply tube having a third lumen in operative communication with the gas, and an optional alternative gas supply tube having a fourth lumen in fluid communication with the gas. The lens wash supply tube and the gas supply tube may be formed as a single, multi-lumen tube.
ENDOSCOPE REPROCESSOR AND ACTUATION METHOD FOR ENDOSCOPE REPROCESSOR
