Methods for Controlling Cooperative Surgical Instruments

Systems, devices, and methods for controlling cooperative surgical instruments are provided. Various aspects of the present disclosure provide for coordinated operation of surgical instruments accessing various surgical sites from different or shared surgical approaches to achieve a common or cooperative surgical purpose. For example, various methods, devices, and systems disclosed herein can enable the coordinated treatment of tissue by disparate minimally invasive surgical systems that approach the tissue from varying anatomical spaces and must operate differently, but in concert with, one another to effect a desired surgical treatment.

The invention relates to medical devices for carrying out internal examination, such as laryngoscopes. The laryngoscope is provided with a camera element within a channel inside the blade.

System and method for providing a single use imaging device for medical applications

A system and methods for providing and reclaiming a single use imaging device for sterile environments is disclosed and described. The system may include a single use high definition camera used for general purpose surgical procedures including, but not limited to: arthroscopic, laparoscopic, gynecologic, and urologic procedures, may comprise an imaging device that is a sterile and designed to ensure single use. The imaging device may have a single imaging sensor, either CCD or CMOS, encased in a housing.

Grasping mechanism for side-loading optical endoscopes and endoscope camera head with endoscope eyepiece grasping mechanism
11633088 · 2023-04-25 · ·

An endoscope eyepiece grasping mechanism includes a base part with an arcuate wall portion defining a base part wall opening between the base part arcuate wall portion circumferential ends and a rotatable part with a rotatable arcuate wall portion defining a rotatable part arcuate wall opening between the rotatable arcuate wall portion circumferential ends. A path guide rotates and axially moves the rotatable part relative to the base part between an open and closes state. A biasing device acts to bias the rotatable part toward the closed state, whereby an endoscope eyepiece may be pushed through an endoscope eyepiece side opening to a coupled position in the open state and the rotatable part rotates to the closed state and moves axially toward the base to retain the eyepiece in the coupled position.

MAINTAINING NEIGHBORING CONTEXTUAL AWARENESS WITH ZOOM
20230118522 · 2023-04-20 ·

An area of interest within a visual output of a surgical site is identified. An area of interest within a visual output of a surgical site is identified. A zoom operation on the area of interest to generate a magnified area of interest is performed. An occluded region around the area of interest within the visual output is determined based on an amount of zoom associated with the zoom operation. The occluded region is a region of the visual output that becomes occluded by placing a magnified area of interest over the area of interest within the visual output. A non-linear compression to the occluded region of the visual output to generate a compressed occluded region is applied. The magnified area of interest to include the compressed occluded region is updated.

ORAL IMAGING DEVICE

An oral imaging device includes a base, a camera module, and a plurality of light source modules. The base includes a camera component, an opening surface, and a plurality of light source components connected to two sides of the camera component. A slant angle exists between each light source component and the camera component. The slant angle is a non-right angle. The opening surface is substantially parallel to the camera component. The camera module is located on the camera component and faces the opening surface. The plurality of light source modules each are located on each light source component and configured to project a light beam onto the opening surface. A center ray of the light beam passes through a center point of the opening surface.

Systems, methods, and devices for providing illumination in an endoscopic imaging environment

The disclosure relates to an endoscopic system. The system may include a single optical fiber. The system may further include a light source which transmits light into the single optical fiber. An image sensor may be provided within the endoscopic system and disposed at a distal end of the single optical fiber. The endoscopic system may be additionally fitted with a diffuser on the distal end of the single optical fiber which outputs a light cone that is broader than an output of the single optical fiber without the diffuser.
