Catalysts for preparation of butadiene by oxydehydrogenation of butene in fluidized bed reactor and method of preparing same and use of same
The invention relates to a catalyst for preparation of butadiene by oxydehydrogenation of butene in a fluidized bed reactor, a method of preparing the same, and use of the same, wherein a method according to an embodiment of the invention comprises: reacting a metal precursor with an alkaline substance to obtain a slurry containing insoluble compound, followed by filtering and washing the slurry; adding a binder and deionized water, followed by agitation to regulate the solid content of the slurry to 10-50%; subjecting the slurry to spray drying granulation, wherein the temperature at the feed port is controlled between 200-400° C., and the temperature at the discharge port is controlled between 100-160° C., to obtain catalyst microspheres; and drying the catalyst microspheres at 80-200° C. for 1-24 h, and then calcining the catalyst microspheres at 500-900° C. for 4-24 h to obtain a catalyst having a general formula of FeXaYbZcOd, comprising Fe, Mg, Zn, Bi, Mo, Mn, Ni, Co, Ba, Ca, and other metals. The catalyst microspheres prepared according to the exemplary method exhibit high mobility, desirable particle size distribution, extremely high mechanical strength and catalytic activity, and are applicable to industrial production of butadiene by oxydehydrogenation of butene in a fluidized bed. When this catalyst is used to prepare butadiene by oxydehydrogenation of butene, the yield of butadiene is 76-86%, and the selectivity to butadiene is 94-97%.

The present invention concerns a reactor for the conversion of carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide into hydrocarbon and/or alcohol comprising a support made from an electrically and thermally conductive material, forming the wall or walls of at least one longitudinal channel that passes through the support and also acting as the cathode of the reactor, at least one wire electrode forming an anode of the reactor, and extending within each longitudinal channel, and being arranged at a distance from the wall or walls of the longitudinal channel, each wire electrode optionally being covered with an electrically insulating layer along the part of the wire electrode extending within the longitudinal channel, a catalyst capable of catalysing a conversion reaction for the conversion of carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide into hydrocarbon and/or alcohol, the catalyst being situated between the wire electrode and the wall or walls of each longitudinal channel.
System and method for power production including methanation
The present disclosure relates to a power production system that is adapted to achieve high efficiency power production with carbon capture when using a solid or liquid hydrocarbon or carbonaceous fuel. More particularly, the solid or liquid fuel first is partially oxidized in a partial oxidation reactor that is configured to provide an output stream that is enriched in methane content. The resulting partially oxidized stream can be cooled, filtered, additionally cooled, and then directed to a combustor of a power production system as the combustion fuel. The partially oxidized stream is combined with a compressed recycle CO.sub.2 stream and oxygen. The combustion stream is expanded across a turbine to produce power and passed through a recuperator heat exchanger. The recycle CO.sub.2 stream is compressed and passed through the recuperator heat exchanger and optionally the POX heat exchanger in a manner useful to provide increased efficiency to the combined systems.
METHOD FOR CONVERTING A GAS COMPRISING CARBON MONOXIDE INTO METHANE BY MEANS OF A CATALYTIC MATERIAL CONTAINING PRASEODYMIUM AND NICKEL ON ALUMINA
The invention relates to a method for converting a gas into methane (CH.sub.4) which includes: a step of activating a catalytic material including praseodymium oxide (Pr.sub.6O.sub.11) associated with nickel oxide (NiO) and alumina (Al.sub.2O.sub.3), the respective proportions of which are, relative to the total mass of these three compounds: Pr.sub.6O.sub.11: 1 wt % to 20 wt %, NiO: 1 wt % to 20 wt %, and Al.sub.2O.sub.3: 60 to 98 wt %; and a step of passing a gas including at least one carbon monoxide (CO) over the activated catalytic material.

The present invention refers to a process for producing a renewable isoparaffin compound with a high octane rating, comprising a step of Guerbet reaction between an initial C5 alcohol charge obtained from renewable raw material and methanol to produce a branched renewable C6 alcohol; dewatering of the branched renewable C6 alcohol into a C6 olefin; and hydrogenation of the C6 olefin into renewable isoparaffin. A renewable isoparaffin compound with a high octane rating, comprising at least 50% carbon of renewable natural origin in its composition, and use of said renewable paraffin in gasolines in general and in special high-performance gasolines, such as aviation gasoline, are also described.

CATALYST FOR CONVERTING LIGHT OLEFIN TO AROMATICS, METHOD OF MAKING AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A catalyst for converting hydrocarbon, a method of making the same, and a method of using the same are provided. Such a catalyst includes a zeotype microporous material, a binder material, and a metal phosphide, which can be in a range of from 0.01% to 10% by weight of a total weight of the catalyst. For example, such a catalyst can be used to convert light alkene or alkane into aromatic hydrocarbon such as benzene, toluene, xylenes, and a combination thereof. The alkene may be ethylene, propylene, butylene, or a combination thereof. The alkene may be supplied directly or from a stream converted from light alkane such as methane, ethane, propane, butane, or a combination thereof.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING 1,3-BUTADIENE
A method for producing 1,3-butadiene, including: (A) performing an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction between oxygen and a raw material gas including n-butene in the presence of a metal oxide catalyst, thereby obtaining a produced gas containing 1,3-butadiene; (B) washing the produced gas obtained in (A); (C) contacting the produced gas washed in (B) with a cooling medium to cool the produced gas; and (D) separating the produced gas cooled in (C) into molecular oxygen and inert gases, and other gases containing 1,3-butadiene, by selective absorption into an absorption solvent. In (B), the washing of the produced gas includes blowing the produced gas onto a liquid surface of a washing liquid so that the produced gas contacts the liquid surface of the washing liquid.
