Parallel Reactor System for Ethylbenzene Dehydrogenation
A multi-stage dehydrogenation process including contacting, in a first stage, a feed stream comprising a hydrocarbon and steam with a dehydrogenation catalyst under dehydrogenation conditions to yield a first stage effluent, heating the first stage effluent, and contacting, in a second stage, the heated first stage effluent with a dehydrogenation catalyst under dehydrogenation conditions to yield a second stage effluent comprising a dehydrogenation product, wherein the first stage includes a first reactor and a second reactor arranged in parallel, and wherein the second stage includes a third reactor connected in series with the first reactor and the second reactor. A multi-stage dehydrogenation system for carrying out dehydrogenation is also provided.
Catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation and method of preparing the same
The present invention relates to a catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation and a method of preparing the same. More particularly, the present invention provides a catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation having a porous structure which may easily control heat generation due to high-temperature and high-pressure reaction conditions and side reaction due to the porous structure and thus exhibits superior product selectivity, and a method of preparing the catalyst.

Bulk-metal crystalline catalysts for conversion of synthesis gas to olefins are described. Also described are method of making the catalyst. A bulk metal catalyst can include a first transition metal core surrounded by a silica-alkaline earth metal framework crystal lattice and includes at least one transition metal atoms bound to periphery of the framework crystal lattice. The two transition metals can be iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn), rhodium (Rh), ruthenium (Ru) and combinations thereof.
Hydrodeoxygenation of lignin to hydrocarbons using bimetallic catalysts
Bimetallic catalysts for the hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) conversion of lignin into useful hydrocarbons are provided. The catalysts are bifunctional bimetallic ruthenium catalysts Ru-M/X.sup.+Y comprising a metal M such as iron (Fe), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu) or zinc (Zn), zeolite Y and cation X.sup.+ (e.g. H.sup.+) associated with zeolite Y.

One aspect of the present disclosure provides a system for producing 1,3-butadiene, which includes: a first supply unit, by which a first feed including a butene raw material, oxygen and steam is supplied; a second supply unit, by which a second feed including a butene raw material and oxygen is supplied; and a reaction unit, which includes a catalyst fixed bed and in which an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction takes place, wherein the first supply unit is connected to a front end of the reaction unit, and the second supply unit is connected to an intermediate end of the reaction unit.

A bimetallic catalyst for the production of 1,3-butadiene from n-butane, methods of making, uses thereof are described. The catalyst can include a supported catalytic bimetallic material on a silica support that includes an iron metal or oxide thereof dispersed throughout a silica-alkaline earth metal oxide support or in the core of the silica alkaline earth metal oxide framework.

The single-atom-based catalyst system comprises at least one catalyst structure comprising a first assembly of a plurality of single-atom-catalyst superparticles. The single-atom-catalyst superparticles comprise a second assembly of a plurality of single-atom-catalyst nanoparticles. The single-atom-based catalyst system has controlled porosity and spatial distribution of active single-atom catalysts from the atomic scale to the macroscopic scale. Reactor for oxidative conversion of hydrocarbon feeds
A system for oxidative conversion of a mixed hydrocarbon feed stream to a product stream containing at least one olefin is provided. The system includes a plurality of reactors each capable of oxidatively dehydrogenating at least a portion of a hydrocarbon in the mixed hydrocarbon feed, and each reactor able to operate at different set of reaction conditions from other reactors in the plurality of reactors. All of the reactors use the same oxygen transfer agent to produce at least one olefin. In some embodiments, at least one reactor is optimized to oxidatively couple methane to produce ethylene, while other reactors are optimized to oxidatively dehydrogenate ethane to ethylene or to oxidatively dehydrogenate propane to ethylene and/or propylene. All of the reactors feed into a single regeneration unit for the oxygen transfer agent. A method of oxidatively converting the mixed hydrocarbon feed to an olefin is also provided.
