OMNIDIRECTIONAL PHOTOACOUSTIC TOMOGRAPHY SYSTEM
A photoacoustic tomography system includes a first ring-shaped mirror having a central axis therethrough and configured to converge light inwardly towards the central axis and a subject, and an adjustment mechanism configured to move the first ring-shaped mirror along the central axis to a plurality of different positions. Each position of the plurality of different positions allows the first ring-shaped mirror to illuminate a respective ring of light around a respective portion of the subject, and an acoustic signal detector is movable along the central axis such that acoustic signals can be detected from the respective portion of the subject when illuminated by the first ring-shaped mirror while at each respective position of the plurality of different positions.
Patient specific bone preparation for consistent effective fixation feature engagement
An optimized press-fit between a resected bone and an articular implant may, for instance, reduce undesirable qualities, including excess micromotion, stress transmission, and/or strain. By taking into account heterogeneous bone properties, the parameters of a bone resection can be determined as to optimize the press-fit between a resected bone and an articular implant. An optimized press-fit is obtained by determining ideal engagement characteristics corresponding to the fit between the fixation features of an articular implant and a bone. Then, taking into account a bone's heterogeneous properties, the parameters of a bone resection that would substantially achieve the determined ideal engagement characteristics are determined.
Non-contact neck-based respiratory and pulse signal detection method, apparatus, and imaging device
The present disclosure provides a non-contact neck-based respiratory and pulse signal detection method and apparatus, and an imaging device. The method includes: acquiring 3D morphological information of a neck of a human body in real-time; and acquiring a respiratory signal and an electrocardiogram signal of the human body on the basis of the 3D morphological information of the neck.
Monitoring Treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Using Diffuse Optical Imaging
A plurality of modules are simultaneously positioned at locations that correspond to different angiosomes. Each of these modules has a front surface shaped and dimensioned for contacting a person's skin, a plurality of different-wavelength light sources aimed in a forward direction, and a plurality of light detectors aimed to detect light arriving from in front of the front surface. Each module is supported by a support structure (e.g., a strap or a clip) that is shaped and dimensioned to hold the front surface adjacent to the person's skin at a respective position. Perfusion in each of the angiosomes is monitored using these modules, and the surgeon can rely on this information to guide his or her intervention.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING VIRTUAL MODEL
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for generating a virtual model. The apparatus according to the present disclosure comprises: a scanner that acquires a continuous 2D image within a measurement space; and a model generation unit for generating a three-dimensional virtual model by converting the image acquired from the scanner, wherein the model generation unit removes an area from the three-dimensional virtual model according to the reliability of data and generates a final model on the basis of the remaining area.
Emergency electromagnetic tomography solutions for scanning head
An electromagnetic tomography system for gathering measurement data pertaining to a human head includes an image chamber unit, a control system, and a housing. The image chamber unit includes an antenna assembly defining a horizontally-oriented imaging chamber and including an array of antennas arranged around the imaging chamber. The antennas include at least some transmitting antennas and some receiving antennas. The control system causes the transmitting antennas to transmit a low power electromagnetic field that is received by the receiving antennas after passing through a patient's head in the imaging chamber. A data tensor is produced that may be inversed to reconstruct a 3D distribution of dielectric properties within the head and to create an image. The housing at least partially contains the antenna assembly and has a front entry opening into the imaging chamber. The head is inserted horizontally through the front entry opening and into the imaging chamber.
Combined positron emission tomography (PET)-electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) imaging device
Described herein are positron emission tomography (PET)-electron paramagnetic resonance imaging (EPRI) systems and methods of use. In one example, a PET-EPRI system includes a PET-EPR insert, a PET scanner including one or more solid-state photodetectors, and a subject module that can house a subject for scanning. The PET-EPR insert includes an EPR resonator that can nest inside the PET scanner. The EPR resonator includes a resonator that can receive the subject module, a shield encircling the resonator and one or more rapid scan coils (RS-coils) positioned around the shield. The shield can prevent electrical coupling between the RS-coils and the resonator while being transparent to annihilation photons and magnetic field scans.
Multi-modal image-guided radiation system
Systems and methods relate to multi-modal imaging of tissue combined with highly focused radiation interventions. The system is a portable multimodal imaging unit that integrates imaging and image analysis. The system can be retrofitted to use with any commercial radiation therapy machine. In one aspect, a system integrates various imaging modalities into a single, coordinated structure. The system integrates X-ray and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), optical imaging (such as bioluminescent imaging (BLI), fluorescence tomography (FT)), and positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in a single, self-contained structure.
Systems and methods for assessment and monitoring of a mucosal disease in a subjects gastrointestinal tract
A computerized-method for a mucosal assessment of a mucosal disease in a Gastrointestinal Tract (GIT) of a subject, including receiving a stream of images of at least a portion of the GIT, parsing the stream into a plurality of segments, wherein each segment corresponds to a region of the at least portion of the GIT, obtaining a set of values for each segment, wherein the set of values refers to the pathological involvement of the segment in the mucosal disease and to severity of mucosal manifestation of the mucosal disease in the segment, and based on said set of values for each segment, generating a representation indicating the location and severity of the mucosal manifestation of the mucosal disease in the entirety of the at least portion of the subject's GIT, thereby allowing to assess the condition of the mucosal disease in the at least portion of the GIT.
