Determining health state of individuals
The present subject matter discloses a system(s) and a method(s) for determining a health state of an individual. According to an embodiment, a method comprises measuring, by a heart rate sensor, a heart rate of the individual during operation within the environment. The method further comprises outputting, by a pressure sensing platform, pressure data of the individual. Further, the method comprises outputting, by an image capturing device, image data of the individual. The method further comprises inferring, by a processing unit, an amount of fat of the individual in the image data. The method further comprises updating, by the processing unit, the amount of fat of the individual using the pressure data. The method further comprises controlling, by the processing unit, a threshold for determining the health state of the individual, using the amount of fat and the heart rate of the individual.
Device, system and method for extracting physiological information indicative of at least one vital sign of a subject
The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for extracting physiological information indicative of at least one vital sign of a subject. An embodiment of a device comprises a pre-treatment unit configured to derive at least three detection signals from electromagnetic radiation reflected from a skin region of a subject, wherein at least two detection signals comprise wavelength-dependent reflection information in a different wavelength channel and at least two detection signals comprise reflection information in different polarization channels having different polarization directions.
Systems and methods for magnetic resonance imaging
The present disclosure provides a system. The system may include a medical device, a couch, one or more imaging devices, and a control device. The medical device may include a cavity. The couch may be configured to support a subject. The one or more imaging devices may be configured to acquire image data. The image data may indicate at least one of a target portion of the subject or posture information of a user. The control device may be configured to control a movement of the couch based on at least one of position information of the target portion of the subject or the posture information of the user.
Clinical diagnosis and treatment planning system and methods of use
A spinal disorder diagnosis and treatment planning system is provided. The diagnosis and treatment planning system includes a mixed reality holographic display including at least one processor, at least one camera, at least one sensor, and being configured to acquire data points corresponding to a surface of a body adjacent to vertebral tissue. A computer database is configured to transmit imaging of the body including the vertebral tissue to the mixed reality holographic display. The mixed reality holographic display is configured to display a first holographic image of the vertebral tissue superimposed with a body image including the surface. Methods are also disclosed.
Therapeutic smile detection systems
Systems for detecting when a person exhibits a smile with therapeutic benefits including a facial expression detection device and a system processor. The facial expression detection device is configured to acquire facial expression data. The system processor is in data communication with the facial expression detection device and is configured to execute stored computer executable system instructions. The computer executable system instructions include the steps of receiving facial expression parameter data establishing target facial expression criteria, receiving current facial expression data from the facial expression detection device, comparing the current facial expression data to the target facial expression criteria of the facial expression parameter data, and identifying whether the current facial expression data satisfies the target facial expression criteria. The target facial expression criteria define a smile with therapeutic benefits.
Medical environment monitoring system
A system and a method are described for monitoring a medical care environment. In one or more implementations, a method includes identifying a first subset of pixels within a field of view of a camera as representing a bed. The method also includes identifying a second subset of pixels within the field of view of the camera as representing an object (e.g., a subject, such as a patient, medical personnel; bed; chair; patient tray; medical equipment; etc.) proximal to the bed. The method also includes determining an orientation of the object within the bed.
ILLUMINATION COMPENSATION IN IMAGING
In an embodiment, a method (100) is described. The method comprises obtaining (102) a three-dimensional representation of a body surface. The method further comprises obtaining illumination information for the three-dimensional representation that is indicative of an orientation of the body surface relative to a reference axis. The method further comprises determining illumination compensation information (104). The illumination compensation information is used (106) to compensate for an illumination variation apparent from the illumination information in an image of the body surface.
CLEANING APPLIANCE
A dental treatment appliance transmits a pulsed light signal towards the oral cavity and captures images of the oral cavity from light returned from the oral cavity. A controller actuates the treatment of the oral cavity of the user depending on the captured images.
CONTRACTILE TISSUE-BASED ANALYSIS DEVICE
A contractile tissue-based analysis device is provided, in which a strip of contractile tissue is supported by support structure. The support structure comprises a substantially planar base element, and first and second support pillars extending from said base element. An optical detection device is arranged on the side of the base element opposite to said support pillars, and is arranged to capture image data from at least one of the head portions of the support pillars. The motion of the support pillars induced by the strip of contractile tissue can thus be captured from below, i.e. through the planar base element.
AUTOMATIC PRESSURE ULCER MEASUREMENT
Methods and systems for imaging and analysis are described. Accurate pressure ulcer measurement is critical in assessing the effectiveness of treatment. However, the traditional measuring process is subjective. Each health care provider may measure the same wound differently, especially related to the depth of the wound. Even the same health care provider may obtain inconsistent measurements when measuring the same wound at different times. Also, the measuring process requires frequent contact with the wound, which increases risk of contamination or infection and can be uncomfortable for the patient. The present application describes a new automatic pressure ulcer monitoring system (PrUMS), which uses a tablet connected to a 3D scanner, to provide an objective, consistent, non-contact measurement method. The present disclosure combines color segmentation on 2D images and 3D surface gradients to automatically segment the wound region for advanced wound measurements.
