BROAD SPECTRUM CONJUGATE VACCINE TO PREVENT KLEBSIELLA PNEUMONIAE AND PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA INFECTIONS
The present invention is drawn to conjugates and vaccine compositions comprising a Pseudomonas flagellin or an antigenic fragment or derivative thereof linked to one or more Klebsiella surface polysaccharide antigens, such as Klebsiella pneumoniae O5 polysaccharide from serovars O1, O2a, O2a,c, O3, O4, O5, O7, O8 and 012. The present invention also provides serovar reagent strains to produce the conjugates and vaccine compositions and methods of inducing an immune response with the conjugates and vaccine compositions.

CONTROL OF NITROGEN FIXATION IN RHIZOBIA THAT ASSOCIATE WITH CEREALS
Disclosed herein are engineered rhizobia having nif clusters that enable the fixation of nitrogen under free-living conditions, as well as ammonium and oxygen tolerant nitrogen fixation under free-living conditions. Also provided are methods for producing nitrogen for consumption by a cereal crop using these engineered rhizobia.
MODIFIED BACTERIAL STRAINS FOR IMPROVED FIXATION OF NITROGEN
Methods and systems are provided for generating and utilizing a genetically engineered bacterium comprising a modification in a gene regulating nitrogen fixation or assimilation, wherein the modification in the gene regulating nitrogen fixation or assimilation results in one or more of: constitutive expression of a nifA gene in nitrogen limiting and non-nitrogen limiting conditions, activity of nifA in non-nitrogen limiting conditions, decreased uridylyl-transferase activity of GlnD, decreased adenylyl-removing activity of GlnE, and increased ammonium excretion.
VACCINE
The present invention relates to the field of immunogenic compositions and vaccines, their manufacture, host cells which can be used in their manufacture and the use of such immunogenic compositions and vaccines in medicine. More particularly, it relates to Klebsiella pneumoniae O-antigens, conjugates comprising a K. pneumoniae O-antigen, host cells suitable for their production and immunogenic compositions or vaccines containing at least one Klebsiella pneumoniae O-antigen.

LIVE BIOTHERAPEUTIC COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Live biotherapeutic compositions and methods are provided for treatment, prevention, or prevention of recurrence of skin and soft tissue infections, such as mastitis and/or intramammary infections, for example, in cows, goats, sows, and sheep. Methods include decolonizing and durably replacing with a live biotherapeutic composition comprising a synthetic microorganism that may safely and durably replace an undesirable microorganism under dermal, mucosal, or intramammary conditions.
KLEBSIELLA VACCINE AND METHODS OF USE
Provided are compositions and methods that include a K. pneumoniae yidR protein or an antigenic segment of the protein, and homologous of the protein, and antigenic segments of the homologs. The compositions can be provided as vaccine formulations for use with humans and non-human animals, including but not limited to dairy cows. The compositions and methods are useful for prophylaxis and/or therapy of conditions associated with Gram negative bacteria that include K. pneumonia, E. coli, and other pathogenic Gram negative bacteria. The conditions include such bacterial infections generally, and include specifically mastitis and metritis. The compositions and methods can also improve fertility and milk production. Administration of the compositions can improve the likelihood of a first service conception.
