The present application provides a method and device for determining inner and outer sides of limbs, and relates to the field of wearable devices. The method comprises: acquiring first somatosensory information of a first side of a limb of a user, the first side being an inner side or an outer side of the limb; and determining whether the first side is the inner side of the limb according to the first somatosensory information and reference information. The method and device facilitate a device that the user wears to perform automatic setting according to an identification result, thereby enhancing user experience.

Personal hand-held monitor to produce a theoretical curve based on PPG signals at diastole and systole, measured pressure data at diastole and systole, and times of diastole and systole

The present application describes a Personal Hand-Held Monitor (PHHM) of the type described in WO 2013/002165, WO 2014/125431, and International Patent Application No. PCT/EP2015/079888, with improved aspects to find indicators of health, and other improvements that facilitate its construction and calibration.

System and method of predicting a healthcare event

A method of predicting a healthcare event includes: receiving via an input device, classifying personal information for each of a plurality of persons; collecting measurements of at least one health indicator during a predefined learning period; creating a personal physiological pattern profile, based on the collected data; associating each of the plurality of persons to a physiological cluster based on each person's personal physiological pattern profile and based on the classifying personal information of each of the plurality of persons; creating, for each physiological cluster, a health indicator deviation pattern for the healthcare event; continuously monitoring values of the health indicator of the person; and determining an occurrence probability of the healthcare event when the monitored indicators deviate from the personal physiological pattern profile. A system for predicting a healthcare event is also disclosed.

Housing comprising a sensor

An assembly of at least one radiation detector, at least one radiation emitter and a housing configured to be positioned inside the ear canal of a person or animal, the detector(s) and emitter(s) being provided in or on the housing, the emitter(s) being configured to emit radiation away from the housing and the detector(s) being configured to receive radiation directed toward the housing. No overlap may be provided between the field of view of the radiation detector(s) and the emitter(s), such as by providing a blocking element.

Display device and data monitoring method

A display device includes a display panel including a display region and a non-display region surrounding the display region, a plurality of a light-emitting units arranged at the display region; a touch circuit connected to the display panel, and configured to detect touch information when the display panel is touched; a control circuit connected to the touch circuit and the display panel, and configured to control a corresponding light-emitting unit to emit a predetermined light beam in response to the touch information; a photosensing circuit connected to the display panel and the control circuit, and configured to sense the predetermined light beam and convert it into an electric signal; and a data processor connected to the control circuit and the display panel, and configured to process the electric signal acquired by the photosensing circuit through conversion to acquire monitoring data, and display the monitoring data on the display panel.

Adaptive artificial intelligence system for identifying behaviors associated with mental illness and modifying treatment plans based on emergent recognition of aberrant reactions

One or more embodiments described herein relate to predicting, using adaptive artificial intelligence techniques, typical and aberrant physiological reactions of a patient to psychiatric counseling. Treatment plans can be determined and calculated based on previously-gathered demographic and/or biometric data, and/or modifications to treatment plans can be determined and/or implemented based on emergent recognition of reaction types, such as reclassifying reactions that would previously have been deemed typical as aberrant (or vice versa).

Opioid overdose monitoring

An overdose of opioids can cause the user to stop breathing, resulting in death. A physiological monitoring system monitors respiration based on oxygen saturation readings from a fingertip pulse oximeter in communication with a smart mobile device and sends opioid monitoring information from the smart mobile device to an opioid overdose monitoring service. The opioid overdose monitoring service notifies a first set of contacts when the opioid monitoring information.

Optically assisted ultra-wideband (UWB) imager

Provided are systems and methods of using of optical delay lines in RF imagers, e.g., Ultra-wideband (UWB) imagers. In an embodiment, a modulator can be configured to convert radio-frequency signals to optical signal. First and second optical delay lines delay respective first and second optical signals converted by the modulator, and a photodetector can convert the delayed optical signals to at least one electrical signal corresponding to at least one pixel of a radio frequency image. The disclosed systems and methods can also further form a radio-frequency image based on output from the photodetector. In still further embodiments, the photodetector can receive modulated optical signals from an array of optical delays. Also provided are related methods of using the disclosed systems and devices.

Hearing Device-Based Systems and Methods for Determining a Quality Index for a Cardiorespiratory Measurement

An illustrative hearing system may be configured to receive, from an inertial sensor included in a hearing device configured to be worn by a user, inertial sensor data representative of at least one of motion of the hearing device or orientation of the hearing device. The hearing system may further be configured to determine, based on the inertial sensor data, an activity state of the user and to determine, based on the activity state, a cardiorespiratory quality index representative of a quality level of a measurement of a cardiorespiratory property of the user.
