Soluble mediator

The present disclosure relates to a soluble CD52 glycoprotein and its use in treating diseases regulated by effector T-cells, for example autoimmune diseases such as type 1 diabetes. The present disclosure also relates to fusion proteins comprising the soluble glycoprotein, to cells expressing high levels of CD52, and to diagnostic methods based on the detection of CD52 expression levels in a subject.

EARLY POST-TRANSFECTION ISOLATION OF CELLS (EPIC) FOR BIOLOGICS PRODUCTION

Provided herein are methods for selecting a population of cells expressing a target polypeptide. In some aspects, the disclosure provides methods for sorting and selecting populations of transfected host cells based on their early expression of a selectable polypeptide. In certain embodiments, the sorting is performed using fluorescence-activated cell sorting or magnetic-activated cell sorting based on the selectable polypeptide. Such selection methods can be further utilized to generate clonal populations of producer cells, e.g. for large-scale manufacturing of a target polypeptide of interest.

Expression of novel cell tags

MEMBRANE SURFACE PROTEIN CONTAINING GPI ANCHOR REGION

Provided is a membrane surface protein containing a GPI anchor region. Specifically, provided are a fusion protein comprising a functional domain and a GPI anchor region, and the use thereof. The fusion protein can effectively activate and proliferate immune cells, and improve the effector function of immune cells.

Therapeutic Antibodies

A pharmaceutical comprising a therapeutic protein that binds to a therapeutic target, the protein being modified with a compound that inhibits binding of the protein to the therapeutic target, the modified protein being effective for reducing an immune response against the protein and for producing a therapeutic effect by binding to the therapeutic target. The therapeutic protein may be an antibody that includes an antibody combining site that binds to the therapeutic target.
