EYEWEAR WITH HEALTH ASSESSMENT, RISK MONITORING AND RECOVERY ASSISTANCE
Electronic eyewear configured to provide health condition or health risk monitoring or guidance to its user. Electronic eyewear, when being worn, is conveniently positioned to provide health condition or health risk monitoring. The eyewear can include various detectors for monitoring health conditions. The eyewear can also monitor the geographic location of the eyewear, which can impact risk level to the user. The eyewear can also measure distance to other persons for risk monitoring and/or facilitating contact tracing. The eyewear can serve to alert its user or facilitate alerting others. The user of the eyewear can configure a risk profile so that the eyewear provides customized health condition or health risk monitoring. Other embodiments can assist a user who is ill, such as, for example, by monitoring their health, monitoring for particular illnesses, tracking worsening conditions, and/or providing guidance to the user.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE SEVERITY OF CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE, COPD, IN A SUBJECT
According to an aspect there is provided a method of assessing the severity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD, in a subject, the method comprising determining measurements of the breathing rate of the subject, the activity level of the subject, a measure of the respiratory effort of the subject and a measure of the severity or intensity of coughing by the subject; and combining the measurements of the breathing rate, the activity level, the measure of the respiratory effort and the measure of the severity or intensity of coughing to determine a score representing the severity of COPD in the subject.
CONTROLLING PRESSURE DURING ENHANCED COUGH FLOW
A system and method configured to control pressure during enhanced cough flow of a subject are provided. A pressure regulator is operated such that during an individual exhalation of the subject, the pressure regulator is toggled between a first mode in which a subject interface is closed such that substantially no gas is communicated with the airway of the subject there through and a second mode in which the subject interface is opened to cause a series of exsufflation events for the individual exhalation of the subject. The pressure relief valve is associated with the subject interface and configured to open and release gas out of the subject interface, responsive to pressure within the subject interface exceeding a predetermined threshold value so as to maintain the pressure within the subject interface within a predetermined pressure range during the enhanced cough flow.
MONITORING A CONDITION OF A SUBJECT
Apparatus for monitoring a clinical condition of a subject is described. At least one motion sensor detects motion of the subject and generates a sensed motion signal responsive to the sensed motion. A signal analyzer is adapted to determine a heartbeat-related signal from the sensed motion signal, to determine a first breathing-rate-related signal from the heartbeat-related signal, and to determine a second breathing-rate-related signal directly from the sensed motion signal. The signal analyzer determines the validity of the heartbeat-related signal by comparing the first breathing-rate-related signal with the second breathing-rate-related signal. Other applications are also described.
CEILING AI HEALTH MONITORING APPARATUS AND REMOTE MEDICAL-DIAGNOSIS METHOD USING THE SAME
A ceiling artificial intelligence (AI) health monitoring system, includes a monitoring device provided on a ceiling of a space to acquire health information from a patient, and a medical management device configured to apply the health information of the patient acquired to an artificial intelligence-based learning model to determine health condition information of the patient and provide the determination result to a doctor monitor. The medical management device is configured to provide remote medical diagnosis information from the doctor monitor to a user terminal.
TESTING INSTRUMENT AND AIRWAY PROTECTION TESTING APPARATUS
According to an aspect, a testing instrument that is used for testing an airway protection function includes: a pipe portion continuous from an inlet port to an outlet port, the pipe portion having a plurality of holes penetrating the pipe portion from an outer surface of the pipe portion to an inner surface of the pipe portion, the holes being provided for guiding a reagent gas mixture to the inside of the pipe portion; and a guide portion covering all of the holes to form a closed space and guiding the reagent gas mixture to the closed space from an inflow port.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RESPIRATION-CORRELATED COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY IMAGING
In a method and apparatus for respiration-correlated computed tomography imaging, a patient-specific breathing curve is recorded and is evaluated online, and a CT scan, providing a number of raw images of a region of interest of a patient, is controlled synchronously with the patient-specific breathing curve according to the results of the online evaluation.
INFECTION RISK DETERMINATION SYSTEM, INFECTION RISK DETERMINATION METHOD AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
Provided is an infection risk determination system including: a determination apparatus, including a determination unit configured to determine an infection risk degree that living bodies present in a determination target will be infected with an infection source present in the determination target, based on a carbon dioxide concentration in the determination target with an internal space for accommodating a gas containing carbon dioxide and environmental information in the determination target; and a risk control unit, configured to control at least one of an airstream, a temperature, a humidity, an intensity of ultraviolet radiation, and an amount of substances in a gas in the internal space based on a determination result of the infection risk degree; and a display unit, configured to display a control state by the risk control unit.
CONTACTLESS COUGH DETECTION AND ATTRIBUTION
Methods, devices, and systems for contactless cough detection and attribution are presented herein. Audio data may be received using a microphone. A cough may be identified as having occurred based on the received audio data. Radar data may be received indicative of reflected radio waves from a radar sensor. A state analysis process may be performed using the received radar data. The detected cough may be attributed to a particular user based at least in part on the state analysis process performed using the radar data.
SMART MASK WITH PRINTED ELECTRONICS
A facial mask configured to be worn by a user includes a mask substrate, a temperature and respiration rate sensor for monitoring the temperature and breathing rate of the user, a humidity sensor for monitoring the humidity of the breath of the user, and a cough sensor for monitoring the cough rate of the user. The sensors may be printed onto a sensor array substrate, which is then secured to the mask substrate. The sensors provide real-time monitoring of the temperature, the breathing rate, the humidity, and the cough rate of the user.
