Determining Tissue Oxygen Saturation with Melanin Correction
An oximeter probe that takes into account tissue color (e.g., skin color or melanin content) to improve accuracy when determining oxygen saturation of tissue. Light is transmitted from a light source into tissue having melanin (e.g., eumelanin or pheomelanin). Light reflected from the tissue is received by a detector. A compensation factor is determined to account for absorption due to the melanin. The oximeter uses this compensation factor and determines a melanin-corrected oxygen saturation value.
MOBILE HYPERSPECTRAL CAMERA SYSTEM AND HUMAN SKIN MONITORING USING A MOBILE HYPERSPECTRAL CAMERA SYSTEM
A mobile hyperspectral camera system is described. The mobile hyperspectral camera system comprises a mobile host device comprising a processor and a display: a plurality of cameras, coupled to the processor, configured to capture images in distinct spectral bands; and a hyperspectral flash array, coupled to the processor, configured to provide illumination to the distinct spectral bands. A method of implementing a mobile hyperspectral camera system is also described.
Non-invasive biofeedback system
A method, system, and computer program for non-invasively monitoring a physiological parameter and providing biofeedback. The method, system, and computer program provide for the non-invasive detection of a physiological parameter by detecting changes in color channel values of a user in a live video feed and presenting biofeedback to the user indicating the relative position of the physiological parameter to an optimal range.
METHOD OF IMPROVING THE APPEARANCE OF PERIORBITAL DYSCHROMIA
A method of improving the appearance of periorbital dyschromia by identifying a target portion of skin in the periorbital region of a person that exhibits periorbital dyschromia and applying a personal care composition to the target portion of skin. The personal care composition includes an effective amount of an extract of Vicia faba and a dermatologically acceptable carrier. The personal care composition is applied for a sufficient amount of time for the extract of Vicia faba to improve the appearance of the periorbital dyschromia.
The personal care composition includes an effective amount of an extract of Cucurbita pepo and a dermatologically acceptable carrier. The personal care composition is applied for a sufficient amount of time for the extract of Cucurbita pepo to improve the appearance of the periorbital dyschromia.
Skin detection device
The invention provides a skin detection device using different detecting lights, such as white light or UV light. When white light is used, the user's original skin image is acquired, and further analyzed to determine the user's skin condition, such as pore size or dullness of spots. When UV light is used, it is determined whether there is metal remnant or acne on the user's skin. By using the skin detection device, various user skin conditions can be found to help the following cosmetic consultation.
System and method for intraoperative video processing
A monitoring method and system for providing visual enhancements during a medical procedure is described. The method includes capturing current visual information of a site during the medical procedure in real time, storing at least a portion of the captured visual information as stored visual information, identifying a feature of interest in at least one of the current visual information and the stored visual information; generating feedback data associated with the feature of interest, and displaying a virtual representation of the feedback data overlaid on the current visual information.
MONITORING SYSTEM INCLUDING MASK REMOVAL AND OXYGEN DESATURATION PERIOD DETECTION
A method of indicating an oxygen desaturation period has been initiated includes detecting an oxygen mask configured to supply oxygen to a patient to saturate the patient, detecting a removal of the oxygen mask from the patient to stop saturation of the patient, initiating a desaturation timer in response the removal of the oxygen mask from the patient, and operating an image display device to display a first running time on a screen of the image display device indicating a desaturation time elapsed from a time of the removal of the mask.
Camera system, color conversion device and method employed thereupon, and recording medium for color conversion program
A camera system includes: a database which stores a plurality of stereoscopic color profiles, in which conversion relationships calculated from second image data obtained by photographing a plurality of reference color stereoscopic objects assigned with reference colorimetric values in advance and the reference colorimetric values corresponding to the second image data are associated with a plurality of illumination conditions in photographing; a selection unit which, based on an illumination condition at the time of photographing of a stereoscopic subject, selects a stereoscopic color profile corresponding to the illumination condition; and a color conversion unit which performs color conversion from first image data of a photographed image of the stereoscopic subject to colorimetric values, based on the selected stereoscopic color profile.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING WELL-BEING INDICATORS
The present invention relates to a method and system for determining well-being indicators. The well-being indicators comprise at least one of an antioxidant level, a stress level, a smoking level and a dietary level of fruits and vegetables. There is disclosed a method for determining well-being indicators from at least one skin image which comprises selecting at least one image element, wherein colour components disposed on the selected image element can be extracted, constructing colour histograms based on the extracted colour components, the colour histograms comprising prediction features which when extracted enable the well-being indicators to be determined from the skin images.
